DESCRIPTION & BENEFICIARY

• Event: Fostering Hope is hosting the Fostering Hope 5K & Fun Run, formerly known as the Move 5K, on November 7th, 2026.
• Purpose: The run is a larger part of Fruit Cove’s Hope Weekend, where we stand in support of children and families on the foster care and adoption journey.
• Proceeds: Proceeds from the race will be used to continue the mission of Fostering Hope and to support the needs of the Hope Resource Center.
• Join Us: Please join us for this fun family event!

REGISTRATION & FEES

• Inclusions: Registration fee includes a professionally timed race, a t-shirt, food, and drinks.
• Early Registration: T-shirt is not guaranteed for registrations received after October 23rd.
• 5K Options: 5K Run/Walk (Registration fee includes T-shirt and professionally timed race) and 1 Mile Fun Run (Includes T-shirt).
• Free Amenities: Free Drinks & Food and Awards.

SCHEDULE & LOCATION

• When: Saturday, November 7th, 2026 - 8:00 AM
• Where: Fruit Cove Baptist Church, 501 SR 13, Saint Johns, FL 32259
• Entry Fees:
  • 5K Adults: Early bird - through October 7th = $30: October 8th - October 21st = $35: October 22nd - November 6th = $40: Day of Race = $45.
  • 5K Students K-12: Early bird - through October 7th = $20: October 8th - October 21st = $25: October 22nd - November 6th = $30: Day of Race = $35.
  • 1-Mile Fun Run: $20 (Starts at 9:00 am) - Parents or adults accompanying fun runners do not need to register.
• Donations: If you just want to support the cause you can always just donate.

PACKET PICK UP/REGISTRATION

• Pick Up: Packets will be available for pick up at Fruit Cove Baptist Church on Friday, November 6th from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
• Race Day: Packets will also be available on race day beginning 1.5 hours before the race.
• In-Person Registration: You can also register in person on Friday, November 6th from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM or on race day.

COURSE

• Route: The course starts and ends at Fruit Cove Baptist Church, going south on SR13 into Julington Creek Plantation and returning along the same route.
• Certification: It’s a certified 5K course: 5K USATF certified course # FL18047TY.
• Distance Accuracy: The purpose of the USATF course certification program is to produce road racecourses of accurately measured distances.
• Personal Best: No one can truly establish a personal best if the course distance is not accurate.

AWARDS

• Award Categories: Awards will be presented to the top three men and women overall, first master’s male and female overall, and the top three in each of the following male and female age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80+.
• Award Timing: Awards will be handed out directly after the conclusion of the Youth Fun Run.

AMENITIES

• Inclusions: 5K Run/Walk & Fun Run registration fee includes T-shirt, Free Drinks & Food, and Awards.

RACE TIMING AND SCORING

• Timing: The 5K will be professionally timed and scored by Second Wind Racing.
• Tag Usage: The race will be timed using disposable, electronic tags attached to the bib number.
• Visibility: Please wear your bib number to the front, pinned at all four corners, visible, and unaltered.
• Results: Printed results will be posted at the race site and live online during the race.
