Grasshopper Mile Race

Event Overview

This is an Elementary cross country mile located at South Adams High School in Berne, Indiana at the Cross Country pavilion in the south parking lot. This is open to all Elementary kids K-5. The course is a chunk of our high school and middle school course with the finish through the South Adams arch. This race will happen before the annual South Adams Cross Country high school and middle school Invitational.

Parking Information

• Parking Location: We ask all Grasshopper mile participants to please park in the North parking lot.
• Confirmation Email: Have your confirmation email ready to show the attendants.
• Entry Fee: If you park in the north and show them your confirmation email, you will get in for FREE.
• Charges: Otherwise, they will charge you entry.

Race Details

• Spikes: Spikes are allowed on the course, but are not permitted in the school.
• Timing: This year the race will be chip-timed.
• Merchandise: There will be tee shirts available for purchase at the race.
• Facilities: Bathrooms are located at the football field.

Awards and Age Groups

• Awards: There will be awards for top 3 in each age group.
• Age Groups: Age groups are girls / boys, 3rd grade and under, 4th grade, and 5th grade.
• Age Adjustments: This will go by ages so if your kid is old / young for their grade they may be put in a different age group.
