Independence Rhode Race

🎉 Race Overview

The Independence Rhode Race will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025. In partnership with the Bristol Fourth of July Committee, the half marathon will follow the beautiful downtown streets of America’s quintessential community when it is decked out in its finest - during the Oldest 4th of July Celebration in America. The course includes incredible historic homes, a town common and the America’s Cup Museum before heading out along the scenic coastline, through Roger Williams University, following the parade route, and finishing along the water at Independence Park.

🍻 Post Race Party

The Official Post Race Party will be Pivotal Brewing, 500 Wood St, Bristol (Mile 3 of the course). Join us after the race, and show your bib for one free beer on race day only.

• Rain or Shine: The Independence Rhode Race will be happening rain or shine.
• No Refunds: We cannot offer refunds for any reason.
• Weather Safety: In the event that the weather is severe enough to create an unsafe environment for participants, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.

• ID Required: You must show your ID when picking up your registration materials.
• No Age Restrictions: There are no age restrictions to this race.

🚗 Transportation & Parking

• Parking Options: Parking is recommended at Guiteras School, the free Bristol Town lots, or on-street parking.

🔄 Transfer or Deferral

• Transfer Bib: Yes - you can transfer your bib to select other races in our portfolio within one year.
• Deferral: Defer your entry to next year's race. Transfer and deferral requests must be received before online registration closes.

YES! Individuals can refer 3 friends using their unique referral code and receive $15 back - or - for larger groups of 10 or more, each member of the group will receive $5 to $15 in refunds, depending on the size of the group!
