• Date: The race takes place on SUNDAY, November 23rd.
• Location: Starting and finishing at Zervas Elementary School, 30 Beethoven Ave, Newton, MA.

🎉 Mission and Tradition

• Annual Event: We’re excited to welcome you to the 12th Annual Newton Turkey Trot.
• Community Spirit: This beloved tradition brings together over 1,700 runners each year.
• Family Fun: The event features a scenic, USATF Certified 5K course and a 1-mile kids fun run.
• Proceeds: 100% of proceeds go directly to three incredible Newton-based organizations.

📅 Start Times

• 1-Mile Race: Starts promptly at 8:30 AM.
• 5K Race: Follows at 9:00 AM.

🏞️ Course Details

• Route: The USATF Certified 5K run is a beautiful out-and-back course starting at Zervas Elementary School.
• Neighborhoods: The run leads through Newton neighborhoods and onto the Commonwealth Avenue carriage lane.
• Safety: Roads will be monitored by Newton Police.

🚗 Parking Information

• School Lot: The parking lot at Zervas Elementary School will be CLOSED.
• Alternative Parking: Limited parking is available on Allen Street and other neighboring streets.
• Walking: Please consider walking if you’re close enough.

🎽 Picks Up

• Bib and T-shirt: Details to be determined (TBD).

🏆 Prizes

• Top Finishers: Prizes awarded to the Overall top 3 male and female 5K finishers.
• Age Categories: Top 3 male and female finishers across multiple age categories.
• Kids Fun Run: Top male and female finisher under 12 will also receive a prize.
• Participation Medals: All children running in the 1-mile kids fun run will receive a medal.

⚠️ Important Rules

• No Bikes or Strollers: For safety, no bikes or strollers permitted on either race.
• Dog Policy: If you bring a dog, please line up at the back for the safety of all.

💻 Virtual Option

• Join Virtually: Participate from your own course to support the cause.
• T-shirt Pickup: Shirts will not be mailed: pick up during the pre-race bib pickup if registered before October 15th.
