Panther Prowl 5K, 1 Mile Walk, or Virtual Event

Event Overview

The 16th Annual Pitman Education Foundation’s Panther Prowl will consist of a 5K run, 1 Mile Walk, and a virtual event.

5K Run

• Course: This is the classic 5K run that starts at the Pitman Jr/Sr High School, making its way to Kindle Elementary School, then back to Pitman Jr/Sr High School.
• Finish: The run concludes with a lap around the high school track.
• Support: There will be police and other volunteers at busier intersections to stop traffic. A water stop will be near the Kindle School.
• Time Limit: Please note, the course is only supported for 40 minutes. If you plan to walk, please participate in the 1 mile walk, not the 5K run.

1 Mile Walk

• Start: For participants who prefer to walk, the 1 Mile Walk starts at the Pitman Jr/Sr High School immediately following the 5K start.
• Route: It goes through the streets close to the school.

Virtual Event Info

• Flexibility: The virtual event can be done anytime! You can run, walk, or even bike any route, anywhere, and for any distance.
• Participation: Run or walk with your kids, your friends, your family, your dog! Participate to show your support for our wonderful teachers!
• Social Media: After you finish, share a picture on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #virtuallyontheprowl.
• Registration: There will not be any awards for virtual participants: however, you will receive a Panther Prowl T-shirt.

Event Parking

Participants may park on the streets around the Pitman Jr/Sr High School (where parking is permitted) and in the school parking lots.

Free Kids Fun Run

• Timing: The Kids Fun Run will occur immediately following the conclusion of the 5K.
• Eligibility: Kids of any age can participate and will run one lap around the track.
• Prize: All participants will receive a small prize.

T-shirt Guarantee

T-shirts are guaranteed only if registered by 9/26/2025.

Packet Pick-up

Drive Through Packet Pick-up will occur at the Pitman Jr/Sr High School parking lot in front of the school entrance (225 Linden Ave) on 10/16 from 5-6 PM.

Proceeds

All proceeds of this event go directly to funding grants for Pitman School District teachers. These grants help to fund things like subscriptions to online learning materials, books, musical instruments, art supplies, and special events. Thank you for participating!
