Panther Prowl 5K, 1 Mile Walk, or Virtual Event

Event Overview

The 15th Annual Pitman Education Foundation’s Panther Prowl will consist of a 5K run, 1 Mile Walk, and a virtual event.

5K Run

• Course Details: This is the classic 5K run that starts at the Pitman Jr/Sr High School, makes its way to Kindle Elementary School, then back to Pitman Jr/Sr High School.
• Track Finish: The run typically finishes with a lap around the high school track, which is currently under construction and may not be finished in time for this event.
• Course Support: The course is only supported for 40 minutes. If you plan to walk, please participate in the 1 mile walk, not the 5K run.
• Traffic Management: Police and other volunteers will be present at busy intersections to stop traffic, with a water stop near the Kindle School.

1 Mile Walk

• Event Timing: For participants who prefer to walk, the 1 Mile Walk is perfect and will start immediately following the 5K start.
• Course Route: The walk goes through the streets close to the school.

Virtual Event Info

• Participation Flexibility: The virtual event can be done anytime! You can run, walk, or even bike any route, anywhere, and for any distance.
• Community Engagement: Participate to show your support for our wonderful teachers! Share a picture on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #virtuallyontheprowl.
• No Course Support: Keep in mind that your run is virtual and will not be supported: no water stops or traffic volunteers will be present.
• Shirt Guarantee: There will not be any awards for virtual participants, however, you will receive a Panther Prowl T-shirt.

Event Logistics

• Parking Information: Linden Ave between Waverly Ave and Edgemoor Ave will be closed to traffic. Park on surrounding streets.
• Kids Fun Run: After the 5K finish around 9:10 AM, the Kids Fun Run will occur in front of the Pitman Jr/Sr High School entrance.
• Registration Deadline: T-shirts guaranteed only if registered by 9/27/2025.
• Packet Pick-up: Drive Through Packet Pick-up at Pitman Jr/Sr High School on 10/17 from 5-6 PM.

Supporting the Community

All proceeds of this event go directly to funding grants for Pitman School District teachers, which help to fund subscriptions to online learning materials, books, musical instruments, art supplies, and special events. Thank you for participating! LET’S SHOW PITMAN SCHOOLS OUR SUPPORT!
