Rhode Island Half Marathon & 5K

Race Registration

• Online Registration: Online registration is now CLOSED. Race day registration will open at 6:15am on Sunday, May 17th, at Pierce Stadium in East Providence, RI.
• Arrival Time: If you plan to register on race morning, please arrive ONE HOUR before the race starts at 7:30am.
• Event Date: The Rhode Island Half Marathon and 5K is BACK and set for Sunday, May 17th, 2026.

Event Overview

• Course Options: Choose from either the half marathon or 5K, offering scenic views of Narragansett Bay and the iconic Providence skyline along the East Bay Bike Path.
• Course Certification: Both courses are USATF-certified, conveniently starting and finishing at Pierce Memorial Stadium in East Providence, RI.
• Participant Cap: The Rhode Island Half Marathon will be capped at 2,000 participants: a waitlist will be opened once sold out.

Event Information

• Date: Sunday, May 17th, 2026.
• Start Times: Half Marathon Start Time: 7:30 AM // 5K Start Time: 7:30am.
• Location: Pierce Memorial Stadium, 201 Mercer St, East Providence, RI 02914.
• Note: Races will start together: 5K runners will turn onto the East Bay Bike Path.

Half Marathon Pace Groups

• Pace Times: Groups for 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, and 3:00 finishing times.
• Joining Groups: No sign up required: meet your Pace Lead on race morning.
• Find Pacers: Meet at the start line at least 15 minutes before the race begins for instructions.

Online Entry Fees

• Half Marathon Fees: $75 to 12/31/2025, $80 1/1/2026 to 2/28/2026, $85 3/1/2026 to 4/14/2026, $90 4/15/2026 to 5/17/2026, $100 Walk Up Registration Race Weekend.
• 5k Run/Walk Fees: $34 to 12/31/2025, $36 1/1/2026 to 2/28/2026, $38 3/1/2026 to 4/14/2026, $40 4/15/2026 to 5/17/2026, $45 Walk Up Registration Race Weekend.
• Chip Timing: All participants will be chip-timed: the time limit for the half marathon is 3.5 hours.

Packet Pickup Information

• Pre-Race Packet Pickup: Saturday, May 9th, 2026 // 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Marathon Sports, Providence Place.
• Race Day Packet Pickup: Sunday, May 17th, 2026 starting at 6:15am at Pierce Memorial Stadium.
• Parking: Available at stadium lots and street parking is allowed. Do not park where cones are placed on the course.

Bag Drop

• Location: A bag drop tent will be near the finish line: drop your bag before heading to the start line.
• Honor System: The bag check operates under the honor system: no tickets will be provided.
• Pick Up: Remember to pick up your bag immediately after the race: bag check closes at 11AM.

Prize Structure

• Overall Awards: Winners based on gun time: age group winners based on chip time.
• Individual Awards: Top 3 Overall, Women/Men/Non-Binary: age group winners from Under 19 to 70+.
• Team Awards: Top Family and Friends Team: must use the online system for entries: awards based on chip times.
