The Rhode Island Half Marathon and 5K is BACK and set for Sunday, May 17th, 2026.

Event Overview

• Race Options: Choose from either the half marathon or 5K.
• Scenic Views: Offers views of Narragansett Bay and Providence skyline.
• Course Details: Both USATF-certified, starting and finishing at Pierce Memorial Stadium in East Providence, RI.
• Participant Cap: The Half Marathon is capped at 2,000 participants.

Event Details

• Date: Sunday, May 17th, 2026
• Start Times: Half Marathon: 7:30 AM | 5K: 7:30 AM
• Location: Pierce Memorial Stadium, 201 Mercer St, East Providence, RI 02914
• Staggered Start: 5K runners will turn onto the East Bay Bike Path.

Pace Groups

• Team: Pacers from Marathon Sports will lead six groups.
• Times: 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, and 3:00.
• Joining: No signup needed: just meet your Pace Lead on race day!
• Meet Time: Arrive at the start line 15 minutes early for instructions.

Entry Fees

• Half Marathon: $75 to 12/31/2025, $80 1/1/2026 to 2/28/2026, $85 3/1/2026 to 4/14/2026, $90 4/15/2026 to 5/17/2026, $100 Walk Up.
• 5K: $34 to 12/31/2025, $36 1/1/2026 to 2/28/2026, $38 3/1/2026 to 4/14/2026, $40 4/15/2026 to 5/17/2026, $45 Walk Up.
• Timing: All participants will be chip-timed.
• Time Limit: Half marathon has a 3.5-hour limit.

Packet Pickup Information

• Pre-Race: May 9th, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Marathon Sports.
• Pre-Race: May 15th, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Marathon Sports.
• Pre-Race: May 16th, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Marathon Sports.
• Race Day: May 17th, starting at 6:15 a.m. at Pierce Memorial Stadium.

Parking

Parking available in stadium lots and permitted street parking on race day. Please avoid parking in restricted areas.

Prize Structure

• Awards: Overall winners based on gun time: age group winners based on chip time.
• Categories: Top 3 Overall, Women/Men/Non-Binary, various age categories.
• Team Awards: Top Family and Friends Team (unlimited entries: top 3 score).
• Registration: Teams must use the online system for entries.

• Refunds: No refunds will be offered.
