The Rhode Island Half Marathon and 5K is BACK and set for Sunday, May 17th, 2026.
🏃♂️ RACE OPTIONS
- Distance: Choose from either the half marathon or 5K.
- Views: Both courses offer scenic views of Narragansett Bay and the iconic Providence skyline.
- Course: USATF-certified and conveniently start and finish at Pierce Memorial Stadium.
- Participants: The Rhode Island Half Marathon will be capped at 2,000 participants.

- Medal: Finisher's Medal for all participants.
- Food & Drink: Free breakfast sandwich and beer!
- Registration: Register today to reserve your spot on the start line.
- Certification: Both races are USATF certified.
📅 EVENT DETAILS
- Date: Sunday, May 17th, 2026
- Start Times: Half Marathon at 7:30 AM // 5K at 7:30 AM
- Location: Pierce Memorial Stadium, 201 Mercer St, East Providence, RI 02914
- Shirts: Brooks T-shirts for all entrants who register online before race day.
📊 PACE GROUPS
- Pacers: The team from Marathon Sports will lead six groups.
- Finishing Times: Available for 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, and 3:00.
- Joining: Sign up is not required: just meet your Pace Lead on race morning.
- Meeting Point: Arrive at the start line at least 15 minutes before the race to meet your pacer.
💲 ONLINE ENTRY FEES
- Half Marathon: Ranges from $75 to $100 based on registration date.
- 5K: Ranges from $34 to $45 based on registration date.
- Timing: All participants will be chip-timed with a 3.5-hour time limit.
- Cap: The half marathon is limited to 2,000 participants.
📦 PACKET PICKUP
- Pre-Race Pickup: Available on May 9th, 15th, and 16th at Marathon Sports.
- Race Day Pickup: Starts at 6:15 AM on May 17th at Pierce Memorial Stadium.
- Parking: Available at the stadium and nearby lots: street parking allowed on Sunday.
- Note: Do not park where cones are placed on the course.
🏆 PRIZE STRUCTURE
- Awards: Overall winners based on gun time: age group winners based on chip time.
- Categories: Top 3 Overall, with age group awards for various age brackets.
- Team Awards: For top Family and Friends teams, based on chip times.
- Entries: Teams must use the online system for entries.
