Run for the Angels 5K Memorial Run and Family Day presented by Chenega Corporation EH&F

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

• Annual Event: Join us for the 13th Annual “Run for the Angels Fun Run and Family Day”!
• Inclusive Participation: Whether you run, jog, or stroll, this event is for everyone!
• Purpose: A special time to come together, remember all children who have died suddenly and unexpectedly, raise awareness of pregnancy, infant, and child loss, and enjoy a day with family and friends.
• Welcoming Atmosphere: EVERYONE is welcome!

💖 Beneficiary Information

• Support Programs: All proceeds benefit the emotional support programs of Northwest Infant Survival and SIDS Alliance (NISSA).

🎉 Event Highlights

• Sponsor Booths: Visit our sponsor booths between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
• Emotional Support Area: Create a luminary, paint a rock, or make a button (bring a photo if you’d like). Activities available from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
• Silent Auction: The silent auction will be held in person this year! It’s a great opportunity to support NISSA and take home a unique auction item. Contact Liz at 208-557-4371 to donate an auction item.

📅 Event Schedule

• Remembrance Ceremony: 1:00 – 1:30 PM at the amphitheater alongside the pond. We will be reading the names of the children we are honoring.
• Newly Bereaved Families: If you would like your child’s name read and a sign created for the run route, please fill out this online form.
• Live Streaming: The ceremony will also be streamed live on Facebook.

🏅 Fun Run Details

• Start Time: The ~2.5 mile fun run/walk starts at 1:30 PM.
• Self-Paced: Registered participants are welcome to complete the course at their own pace. The course will close at 3:00 PM.

📍 Location Information

• Venue: The event is held at the beautiful Riverstone Park, with most of the route along the scenic Centennial Trail.
• Scenic Views: Enjoy views of the Spokane River throughout the entire course.
• Accessibility: Bicycles and strollers are welcome.
• Safety Note: This is not a closed course, and regular traffic will be present.

📝 Registration & Policies

• Registration Pick-Up: Sunday, October 5th from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Riverstone Park. Collect shirts and bags during this time.
• Cancellation Policy: The Run for the Angels will take place rain or shine. Cancellation will occur only if deemed necessary by event officials due to hazardous conditions.
• Donations: In the event of cancellation, registration fees will be considered donations, and arrangements will be made for shirt and bag pick-up. No refunds will be provided.
