South Lyon Pumpkinfest "Lead the Parade" 5k

🎃 Event Details

• Date: Saturday, Sept 27, 2025
• Location: Millennium Middle School, South Lyon, MI
• Start & Finish: At Millennium Middle School at the south end of the track
• Packet Pickup: Begins at 8 AM near the 9 Mile Road Millennium parking lot/track

🚶‍♂️ Race Description

• Lead the Parade: Our 5K will lead the Pumpkinfest Parade down South Lyon's Pontiac Trail through thousands of spectators lining the route.
• Parking Note: Please park in the teacher's parking lot on the west end of Millennium near the track, entering from 9 Mile Road.
• Route Change: The Pumpkinfest Parade changed routes in 2024, affecting parking for runners from earlier years.
• Timing: The actual race begins at 9:50 AM.

🏅 Awards & Amenities

• Participants: Enjoy Tech T-shirts, age & gender grouped awards, and refreshments!
• Food & Awards: Food and awards are part of the experience.
• Half Marathon: Note that our Half Marathon is back on Sunday, Sept 28, 2025.
• Construction Update: The Half Marathon registration is not active yet as the construction inside Island Lake State Recreation Area is complete.

📍 Course Information

• Access: Enter the track & field facility via the 9 Mile Road entrance.
• Pontiac Trail: Please note that Pontiac Trail will be shut down around 9:30 AM.
• Late Arrivals: You may need to get to the race via 9 Mile Road if you are arriving late.
