Race Description

Get ready for a wicked good time at the Spooky Sprint 5K and 1-Mile Walk! This race is full of tricks, treats, and healthy fun. Dress in your favorite costume and race through our spooktacular course. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a scenic stroll with family/friends on the tree-lined Collegial Woods trail, this Halloween-themed event has something for everyone.

• Strollers: Welcome for the 1-Mile Walk — the more the scarier
• Pets: Leashed pets are also welcome

Event Highlights

• Timed Race: Professionally timed 5K race
• Family-Friendly: 1-Mile Fun Walk: Kids 10 and under are free with a paid registered adult
• Costume Contest: Prizes awarded
• Trick-or-Treat: Stations on the walk route
• Post-Race Festivities: Includes bounce house, face painting, swimming, and games at our annual fall fest

Awards & Prizes

• Finisher Medal: All paid registered participants in the 5K/1-Mile Walk will receive a medal and race t-shirt (Shirt not guaranteed after Sept. 20th.)
• Top Finishers: Top 3 Overall Male & Female Finishers (5K) receive special medals and spooky bragging rights!
• Age Group Winners: Awards for the top 3 finishers, Male and Female, in designated age divisions

Entry Fees

• 5K: $30.00: After August 15th - $35.00
• 1 Mile Walk: $20.00: After August 15th - $25.00
• Late Registration: Add $5.00 to your entry
• T-Shirt Guarantee: All participants registered by September 20th are guaranteed a t-shirt
• Beneficiary: Proceeds will benefit the Muskingum County Family YMCA

If we are unable to safely hold an in-person race for ANY reason including mother nature or pandemics, we will automatically convert all registrations to a non-refundable virtual event as opposed to rescheduling. Updates will be posted on the race website.
