- Location: Muskingum Family YMCA
- Start Time: 9:30 am for 5K, 9:40 am for 1 Mile walk
- Pick Up: Race day pick up will begin at 8:15 am
Race Description
Get ready for a wicked good time at the Spooky Sprint 5K and 1-Mile Walk! This race is full of tricks, treats, and healthy fun. Dress in your favorite costume and race through our spooktacular course. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a scenic stroll with family/friends on the tree-lined Collegial Woods trail, this Halloween-themed event has something for everyone.
Strollers and leashed pets are welcome for the 1-Mile Walk — the more the scarier.
Event Highlights
- Professionally timed: 5K
- Family-friendly: 1-Mile Walk: kids 10 and under are free with a paid registered adult
- Costume contest: with prizes
- Trick-or-Treat: stations along the route
- Finish line snacks: provided
- Post-race festivities: hay wagon ride, photo wall, cornhole, and more
Awards & Prizes
- Finisher medal: All paid registered participants in the 5K/1-Mile Walk will receive a finisher medal and race t-shirt (Shirt not guaranteed after Sept. 20th.)
- Top Finishers: Top 3 Overall Male & Female Finishers (5K)
- Age Group Winners: (5K)
- Categories: Ages 10 & under, Ages 11–14, Ages 15–19, Ages 20–29, Ages 30–39, Ages 40–49, Ages 50–59, Ages 60-69, Ages 70+
Entry Fees
- 5K: $30.00 (After August 15th - $35.00)
- 1 Mile Walk: $20.00 (After August 15th - $25.00)
- Late Registration: Add $5.00 to your entry
- T-Shirt: All participants registered by September 20th are guaranteed a t-shirt. Extra shirts will be on a first come first served basis.
- Proceeds: Will benefit the Muskingum County Family YMCA

If we are unable to safely hold an in-person race for ANY reason including mother nature or pandemics, we will automatically convert all registrations to a non-refundable virtual event as opposed to rescheduling. Updates will be posted on the race website.
