This is an easy 5k on a paved path with small section of grass. Not a trail race!
Ultra Ultras is excited to bring you the 4th Annual Turkey Trot 5k and kids fun run in Lake Wales Nov 26th 2026 @ 8am! @ Lake Wailes park. After your run enjoy pumpkin pancakes with us and your friends, family, and everyone else that’s up early to run on Thanksgiving Day! This is a Fun-Run so come in your fastest running outfit or in full Turkey Costume!
🎽 Registration Details
- Shirt Sizes: Limited if registered after Nov 6th!
- Race Shirts & Medals: Guaranteed to the first 400 registered!
💰 Donations
The schools with the most runners will receive donations toward their cross-country programs!
- 1st Place: $500
- 2nd Place: $250
- 3rd Place: $150
- 4th Place: $100
🥞 Food
Hot grilled PUMPKIN PANCAKES for all participants after the race! Starting about 8:30am! There will also be bananas and some other snacks!
💵 Race Entry Fees
- Age 19 & Up: $40 until Nov 1st 2026
- Age 19 & Up: $45 from Nov 2nd until Race Day Nov 26th 2026
- Students 18 & Under: $25.00
- Note: A portion will go toward the donations for cross-country teams

- Wed Nov 25th: 4-7pm @ Lake Wailes Park 198 N Lakeshore Blvd, Lake Wales
- Thur Nov 26th: 6:30-7:45am @ race start area

Ceremony at approx. 9:30 a.m.
- Top Overall Male & Female: Awards given
- Top Overall Male & Female Masters: (over 40+ years of age)
- Top Overall Male & Female Grand Master: (over 50+ years of age)
- Top 3 in Age Groups: 9 & under: 10-14: 15-19: 20-29: 30-39: 40-49: 50-59: 60-69: 70-79: 80+
You can not win Overall and Age Group!
👶 Free Kid’s Run
9:15 a.m. (time is approximate) - For kids 9 & under
- Age Groups: Kids divided into 2 to 3 year age groups depending on the number of kids running.
- Race Distance: Will be between 20 yards & 400 yards depending on age.
- Shirts: No shirts given for this event.
- All Kids: Receive a Winning Ribbon!
👕 T-Shirts/ Finisher Medals
Shirt sizes guaranteed if registered by Nov 6th!
⏱️ Timing & Scoring
Race will be timed and scored by FITNICHE timing with a disposable chip which will be attached to the back of the bib.
