Join us on Monday, September 1nd, for the Montgomery Whitewater Labor Day 5K and Lil Tri!

5K Race Details 🌟 Labor Day 5K | Sept. 1st | 7:30am

• Event Type: The Montgomery Whitewater Labor Day 5K is a professionally timed event open to runners (and walkers!) of all ages and abilities.
• Course: The unique course will take runners through the beautiful grounds at Montgomery Whitewater, with both start and finish at the Raft Barn.
• Awards: Awards will be given to the top finishers and 5-year age groups.

Triathlon Fun 🎉 Lil' Tri | Sept. 1st | 9am

• Challenge: Montgomery Whitewater’s “Lil Tri” puts a fun spin on the traditional triathlon by challenging young athletes to run, bike, and PADDLE across the finish line.
• Eligibility: Open to kids ages 6 to 11, Lil Tri consists of a 250-yard flatwater paddle, 700-yard bike ride, and 880-yard run.
• Equipment: Montgomery Whitewater will provide all of the equipment needed for the flatwater paddle: however, athletes will need to bring their own bike and helmet.
• Adult Supervision: Kids ages 6-10 must have an adult in the ducky (inflatable kayak) for the water portion of the race. 11-year-olds may paddle on their own.

Participation Perks 🎽 Race Day Benefits

• Timing: Please note that this race is not timed, and no official winner will be announced.
• Swag: All participants will receive a race t-shirt (if registered by August 25th), medal, and tie-dye bandana.
• Festival Invitation: Lil Tri athletes are invited to Montgomery Whitewater’s Golden Hour Festival on Sunday, September 1st to tie-dye their bandanas for the race!
• Additional Products: Additional t-shirts and bandanas may be purchased for friends and family to join in the fun!

Important Notes ⚠️ Registration & Packet Pickup

• Shirt Guarantee: To be guaranteed the commemorative race shirt, you must register by August 24th.
• Packet Pickup: Race packet pick-up is on Friday, August 29th, under the Montgomery Whitewater Park Pavilion from 3 to 6 pm.
• Race Day Pickup: Race packets will be available on the morning of the race beginning at 6:15 AM.
• Weather Policy: Races will be held rain or shine. All efforts will be made to finish the scheduled events. However, in the event of extreme inclement weather that prevents us from conducting the races safely, there will be no refunds.
