Join us for the RWP (Running With Passion) 5K — a fun and inspiring community event hosted by Glad Tidings Community Outreach, Inc. Whether you’re an experienced runner, a casual walker, or just looking for a great way to get active with friends and family, this event is for you!

• 7:45 AM: Pre-Registration & Check-In Opens
• 8:15 AM: Pre-Race Announcements & Warm-Up
• 8:30 AM: Race Start (5K Run & Walk)
• 9:30 AM: Post-Race Refreshments & Fellowship
• 9:45 AM: Awards Ceremony & Raffle Prize Drawings

🌳 Course Information

The 5K (3.1 miles) route takes participants through a scenic and moderately flat course around the West Fort Toulouse Road area. The course is well-marked with volunteers at key turns and water stations available along the route.

🚗 Arrival Information

• Arrival Time: Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start to allow time for check-in, bib pickup, and pre-race prep.
• Pre-Registered Runners: Should bring their confirmation email for quick check-in.

🅿️ Parking

Free parking is available onsite at 2521 West Fort Toulouse Road. Volunteers will direct you to designated parking areas. Please carpool when possible to ensure space for all participants.

📄 Waivers & ID

• Waiver Requirement: All participants must sign a waiver before the race (can be signed online during registration or in person on race day).
• Participants under 18: Must have a parent or guardian present to sign their waiver and accompany them during the race.
• Photo ID: Please bring a photo ID for check-in.

👟 What to Bring

• Shoes: Comfortable running/walking shoes
• Hydration: Water bottle (hydration stations will also be provided)
• Photo ID: for check-in
• Cash or Card: if you’d like to donate or participate in the raffle

👕 What to Wear

• Gear: Comfortable athletic gear suitable for running or walking
• Weather: Dress appropriately for August weather in Alabama (light, breathable clothing recommended)
• Sun Protection: Sunglasses/hat and sunscreen for sun protection

📑 Additional Notes

• Prizes: Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers, plus raffle prizes for participants (must be present to claim).
