Scranton Half Marathon

🏃‍♂️Race Overview

The 13th edition of the Scranton Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, beginning and ending at PenFed Credit Union Field at Memorial Stadium. The goal of the race is to provide a superior event highlighting the local area and in doing so, bring increased exposure and revenue for local businesses.

🕗Start Times

• Half Marathon Run: 8:00 AM
• Half Marathon Walk: 6:45 AM

👟Run/Walk Category

We’re pleased to offer a new run/walk category for the half marathon. Please select this option when registering if you plan on doing a combination of both running and walking on the course. As a run/walker, you will start at 8 AM with the run and will be timed as a runner. If you will be only walking the course, please select the Half Marathon Walk tab when registering.

⏳5K Run Cutoff Time

In the interest of safety and to allow city streets to reopen as scheduled, there will be a 50 minute cutoff time for all participants in the 5k. This would be a 16 minute per mile pace. If you are unable to finish the race in this timeframe, your time will not be recorded.

🌐Virtual Half Marathon Options

• Participation: Run or walk the half marathon distance wherever you’d like between April 11 and April 12, 2026.
• Time Submission: Submit your time to scrantonhalfresults@gmail.com to be included in the virtual results.
• Cost: $55 includes bib, finisher shirt, medal, and finisher gift.
• Swag Pickup: during expo hours on Friday, April 10 from 5 to 8 PM or Saturday, April 11 from 11 AM to 5 PM.

🚶Half Marathon Walk

• Start Time: Begins at 6:45 AM.
• Chip Timing: Fully chip timed.
• Medals: Finishers receive Half Marathon Medal and Finisher's Gift.
• Awards: Awards to the Overall Male and Overall Female finishers.

👶Kid's Fun Run

Participants will receive a bib and finisher medal. The 1/4 mile runs will start at approximately 8:15 AM on race morning. The 1/2 mile runs will follow the conclusion of the 1/4 mile runs. Please note that all participants must be off of the infield by 9 AM to ensure the safety of participants from the kids fun runs as well as the half marathon.

1/4 Mile Fun Runs

• Run 1: Ages 5 - 6
• Run 2: Ages 7 - 8

1/2 Mile Fun Runs

• Run 1: Ages 9 - 10
• Run 2: Ages 11 - 12

📬Bib/Shirt Pickup

Friday, April 10 at the Race Expo from 5 to 8 PM, and Saturday, April 11 at the race expo from 11 AM to 5 PM. Also available on race day at Scranton Memorial Stadium from 6:00 to 7:30 AM.
