Race Overview
An endurance challenge that traverses the Commonwealth of Massachusetts following the Appalachian Midstate Trail during the peak of Autumn.
Race Inspiration
- Origin: The idea for the Midstate Massive Ultra Trail (MMUT) was introduced to Rich by TMIRCE co-founder Andy Marx.
- Fastest Known Time: The inspiration came from observing the Fastest Known Time (FKT) of a self-supported, 23 hour 43 minute traverse of the Midstate Trail.
- Key Contributors: This FKT was achieved by Greg Soutiea, Jake Dissinger and Chad Hornbaker in 2015.
- Adventure Awaits: The Midstate Massive Ultra Trail is your doorway to adventure and discovery.
Race Options
- Distance Choices: The Midstate Massive Ultra Trail features 100M, 50M, and 30M race options.
- Terrain Variety: Races will wind through mountains, fields, roads, and rivers of central Massachusetts.
- Crossing Borders: Experience border crossings in New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
