🏃‍♀️🌙 THE SECOND ANNUAL COACH MIKE LAWRENCE TWILIGHT RUN IS COMING! 🌙🏃‍♂️

Last year we kicked off something pretty special, and we are so excited to do it again!

About Coach Mike Lawrence

The Coach Mike Lawrence Twilight Run was created to honor a man who dedicated nearly five decades to coaching, mentoring, encouraging, and sharing his love of running with generations of student-athletes.

Coach Lawrence’s own love of running began during his freshman year of high school and grew into an incredible lifelong journey as both an athlete and a coach. Over the course of his coaching career, Mike spent 47 years and more than 75 seasons coaching cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track & field.

After coming to Gardner in 2003, he went on to coach 25 seasons in our community, working with Middle School Cross Country, Boys Indoor Track, and Boys Outdoor Track & Field. Throughout those years, he taught dedication, perseverance, teamwork, sportsmanship, and the kind of lessons that stay with athletes long after they leave the track.

Although Coach Lawrence has now retired from coaching, the impact he made on generations of athletes certainly hasn’t retired with him. ❤️

Event Purpose

The Twilight Run gives us an opportunity to celebrate that legacy while supporting the next generation of Gardner runners.

Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Gardner High School Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track & Field teams, helping support the student-athletes who continue the tradition Coach Lawrence spent so many years helping to build.

Participation Details

Run: 5K.
Walk: 5K.
Fun Run: Bring the kids for the Fun Run.
