North Reading 5k Turkey Trot

Race Information

• Date: Thanksgiving Morning, Thursday, November 27, 2025
• Time: 8:00 am (rain or shine)
• Location: 15 Central St, North Reading, MA
• Maximum Entries: 1500 Runners

Event Details

• Type: 5k RACE and 1.75 Mile WALK - both start and finish at the same spot and time.
• Start Time: Begins promptly at 8:00 AM.
• Completion: The event needs to be done by 9:00 AM for clean-up.
• Football Game: NRHS vs. Lynnfield at 10:30 AM.

North Reading Elementary School Challenge

• Participation: Each school will aim for 20% of the student body to participate.
• Points: Schools can earn extra points for top finishers in age groups.

Registration Information

• Pre-registration: By midnight, 11/9, for lower fees and t-shirt guarantee.
• Shirts: Not guaranteed after 11/9/2025 or if reaching 1500 registrants.

Age Categories

10 and Under, 11 – 13, 14 – 18, 19 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 and Over

5k Race Prizes

• Awards: Overall winners will receive the Frederick A. Keyes Memorial Award.
• Age Categories: Top 2 female/male in all age categories win prizes.
• Families: Top 2 families (4 runners) also win prizes.
• Notification: Prizewinners will be notified by email/mail.

Pre-race Bib Pick Up

• Marathon Sports: 668 Main Street, Reading, MA, November 22 (10 AM - 3 PM) & November 23 (11 AM - 3 PM).
• Change Requests: Must be made at MS/HS on Monday, 11/24.

Food Drive

A food drive for the North Reading Food Pantry will be held during pre-race number pick-up. Donations accepted. Check the NR Food Pantry website for needed items: North Reading Food Pantry.

Entry Fees

• Students: $20 Pre-registration, $30 Registration after 11/9/2025.
• Adults: $30 Pre-registration, $40 Registration after 11/9/2025.
• Family (4-Maximum): $80 Pre-registration, $90 Registration after 11/9/2025.
• Family (5-6 members): $100 Pre-registration, $115 Registration after 11/9/2025.

Additional Information

• Strollers: Strollers are welcome!
• No Dogs or Bikes: Due to safety concerns and the number of young participants.
