Event Description

• Join Us: Walk, jog or run along Harbor Dr. to celebrate MLK weekend in a healthy fashion with a scenic Embarcadero experience!
• Celebrate Legacy: This 5K Walk / Fun Run honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his dream for equal participation in healthcare, education, and workforce development.
• Community Focus: We’re inspired to help move our community toward a healthier way of living.
• Bring Family: Families and furry friends are welcome to join us for this event!

• Open for All: We hope to inspire those who have never taken part in a 5K walk/run to participate.

Registration Includes

• Shirt: Official 5K walk/fun run shirt.
• Medal: All participants will receive a medal.

• Chip Timing: Timing is offered for the event.

5K Details

• Start Line: 1492 N. Harbor Dr. (Corner of Harbor Dr. and Ash, near Waterfront Park.)
• Start Time: 9:00 AM.
• Finish Line: (Corner of Harbor Dr. and Ash, near Waterfront Park.)
• Course: Scenic 3.1-mile course down Harbor Dr., looping around back to the start.

1 Mile Cruiser Walk / Run

• Start Line: 1492 N. Harbor Dr. (Corner of Harbor Dr. and Ash, near Waterfront Park.)
• Start Time: 9:00 AM.
• Finish Line: 1492 N. Harbor Dr. (Same as start line)
• Course: Scenic 1-mile course down Harbor Dr., looping back to the start.

Virtual Participation

For participants who can’t make it in person but still want to contribute to the San Diego Alpha Foundation! Sign up with the virtual option, complete your distance anytime during race week, and post your results online. Your race shirt and medal will be mailed to you within 2 weeks of the event date.

Race Packet Pickup

• Date: Fri. 1/16
• Time: 3 PM - 8 PM.
• Place: Neighborhood House Association, 5660 Copley Dr, San Diego, CA 92111.
• Onsite Pickup: Available on the day of the event during check-in.
