Walk/Run Like MADD

🏃‍♂️ Walk/Run Like MADD 2024

The 2024 Gallup Walk/Run Like MADD event will provide participants an opportunity to honor those lost by drunk driving crashes, bring awareness to the issue, and enjoy a competitive run or a non-competitive 2-mile walk in Church Rock, NM.

• Registration Fees:
  • Law enforcement (2-mile walk, 5k, or 10k): $25 individually ($125 for a team of 5 people)
  • Walker - Adult $25
  • Walker - Youth (5-18) $20
  • 10k Runner - Adult $30
• Course Details:
  • 2-mile walk on pavement suitable for strollers and wheelchairs
  • 5k and 10k timed runs with awards
  • Dogs allowed on the 2-mile walk course
• Law Enforcement Teams:
  • Competition for 5k with a "Traveling Trophy"
  • 5 Certified Police Officers per team, $100 per team

🌤️ What to Expect

• Dress for Weather: Average high of 73F, low of 43F in September
• Event Highlights: Aid stations, music, cheering, and announcer
• Post-Race: Medals, snacks, drinks for all participants
• Parking: Free parking at start/finish line

📅 Event Schedule

• 7:35 a.m. - Welcome and announcements
• 8:10 a.m. - Warm-ups
• 8:30 a.m. - 10k Race begins
• 10:45 a.m. - Awards & Closing Announcements
