Rehoboth End DWI and support June Camp!

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

We have joined forces! The 2025 Rehoboth Run for a Cause event will provide participants an opportunity to honor those lost by drunk driving crashes, bring awareness to the issue, and also raise money for "June Camp" which is available to all children, grades ____ through ____, from any school for the first 3 weeks of June. ALL MONEY RAISED FROM THIS EVENT WILL STAY IN GALLUP. Half of the money raised will be for the "DWI Memorial Wall Project" (see website) and the other half will be for Rehoboth's "June Camp" program. Runners and walkers can enjoy a competitive, timed, 5k or 10k run, or a non-competitive 1-mile walk in the fresh autumn air, surrounded by the majestic red rocks and beautiful scenery of Rehoboth, NM.

💲 Registration Fees

• Law enforcement: $20 individually ($100 for a team of 5 people)
• Walker - Adult: $25
• 5k Runner - Adult: $25
• 10k Runner - Adult: $30

🐾 Course Information

The 1-mile walk course is on pavement and suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Dogs are allowed on the 1-mile walk course ONLY and must be on a leash at all times. The 1-mile walk will start at 8:40 a.m. and is an out-and-back course.

🏅 Timing and Awards

The 5k and 10k runs will be timed by Rocky Mountain Timing Company. Each runner will receive a bib with a timing chip. There are awards for 1st-3rd place in each age group, male and female, and 1st – 3rd overall, male and female. The 10k will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. and the 5k will start promptly at 8:35 a.m.

🚔 Law Enforcement Competition

There will be a separate Law Enforcement competition for the 5k only, with the winning team taking home the “Traveling Trophy” (Customized UFC Belt!). Teams of 5 from the same agency must have at least 2 females on each team.

⏰ What to Expect

• Weather: Dress for changing weather! Average temperature: high of 73F low of 43F in Gallup in September.
• Aid Stations: There will be aid/water/gatorade stations at the 1.5 mile mark. (10k runners will pass it twice)
• Music and Cheer: There will be music at the starting line, signs by local high school students, and great encouragement along the way.
• Results: Results will be available immediately after each race (www.rmtiming.co) and awards will start at 10:45 a.m.

📅 Event Schedule

7:35 a.m. - Welcome and announcements, Posting of the Colors, Veterans Helping Veterans of Gallup, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Playing and singing of the National Anthem by Chase Allison-Tom, victim's stories and moment of silence. 8:10 a.m. - “Warm-ups with the minions” 8:30 a.m. – 10k Race begins 8:35 a.m. – 5k Race begins 8:40 a.m. – 1-mile walk begins 10:45 a.m. – Awards & Closing Announcements
