Rehoboth Campus, Rehoboth NM
Saturday, September 13th, 2025
We have joined forces! The 2025 Rehoboth Run for a Cause event will provide participants an opportunity to honor those lost by drunk driving crashes, bring awareness to the issue, and also raise money for "June Camp" which is available to all children, grades ____ through ____, from any school for the first 3 weeks of June. ALL MONEY RAISED FROM THIS EVENT WILL STAY IN GALLUP. Half of the money raised will be for the "DWI Memorial Wall Project" (see website) and the other half will be for Rehoboth's "June Camp" program. Runners and walkers can enjoy a competitive, timed, 5k or 10k run, or a non-competitive 1-mile walk in the fresh autumn air, surrounded by the majestic red rocks and beautiful scenery of Rehoboth, NM.
The 1-mile walk course is on pavement and suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Dogs are allowed on the 1-mile walk course ONLY and must be on a leash at all times. The 1-mile walk course will not be a timed event. Participants are welcomed and encouraged to form teams and walk in unity for their family members who have been impacted by a drunk driving crash. Tents, your own T-shirts, signs and pictures can be displayed at the event. The 1-mile walk will start at 8:40 a.m. and is an out-and-back course.
The 5k and 10k runs will be timed by Rocky Mountain Timing Company. Each runner will receive a bib with a timing chip. There are awards for 1st-3rd place in each age group, male and female, and 1st – 3rd overall, male and female. The 10k will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. and the 5k will start promptly at 8:35 a.m. It is a fast, flat course with a few sandy spots for your enjoyment.
There will be a separate Law Enforcement competition for the 5k only, with the winning team taking home the “Traveling Trophy” (Customized UFC Belt!) Teams of 5, all 5 Certified Police Officers from the same agency, (must have at least 2 females on each team) will enter as a team on the website. At the 2nd Annual Event in September, 2025, the Traveling Trophy can be “stolen” by another agency. Law enforcement can also register individually for the 5k, 10k, or 2-mile walk.
