San Antonio Road Runners invite you to join us for the 2nd Annual SARR Texas Sun Showdown Half Marathon, Relay & 5k (formerly known as Carrabba's - 5K, Half Marathon, and Half Marathon Relay).

🏅 Event Options

• Challenge Option: Run the Half Marathon.
• Team Relay: Grab your friends, find your team shirts or costumes!
• Solo Run: You can also run the 5K solo.
• Finisher Rewards: Participants receive a Texas finisher medal, an awesome Texas theme shirt, and delicious Texas barbecue food post race.

⏰ Time Limit

TIME LIMIT FOR THE HALF MARATHON IS 4 HOURS.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Relay Information

You will be prompted to join an existing Relay Team or create a new Relay Team during the registration process. Registration fee is a per person fee. All team members must register separately.

🏆 Relay Categories

• Open: All male, all female, or co-ed, any age.
• Masters: All male, all female, or co-ed, ages 40+.
• Super Masters: All male, all female, or co-ed, ages 50+.
• Mixed X: 3 female, 1 male, any age.
• Mixed Y: 3 males, 1 female, any age.
• Military: Special category for military members.

📦 Packet Pickup Information

• Pre-Race: Saturday June 14th, 12-3 PM at REI 11745 I-10 Suite 110, San Antonio, TX 78230.
• Race Day: June 15th at McAllister Park Pavilion #2 from 6-7:30 AM 13298 Buckhorn Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247.

🕖 Race Start Times

• 7:00 AM: HALF MARATHON AND 2-PERSON RELAY START.
• 7:10 AM: 4-PERSON RELAY START.
• 7:15 AM: 5K START.

🏃‍♀️ Virtual Race Information

The Virtual Texas Sun Showdown 5K and Half Marathon are races that you can run or walk from any location and route. You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.

Signup, download and print your race bib, complete the run and submit your results. When you submit your time, you will also be able to download, print and/or share your Finisher's Certificate. Complete your race and submit your results between: June 15, 2025, 12:00 am - June 30, 2025, 11:59 pm.

💰 Early Registration Discounts

Register Early: SARR members save 25% with online registration thru 5/11/25 (automatically applied at checkout).

Military (active/retired) and First Responder get a $5 discount thru 5/11/25 (applied at checkout: no other discounts apply: please show ID at packet pickup).

Runners age 24 or younger and age 70+ get a 50% discount with online registration thru 5/11/25 (automatically applied at checkout, no other discounts apply).
