Fun Run Racing is partnering with Hero’s Bridge to bring you the 2025 Prince William Turkey Trot. A portion of race proceeds will benefit this amazing charitable organization. Hero’s Bridge serves elderly veterans of the World War II, Korean, and Vietnam wars, bridging veterans to a better quality of life through age-specific and innovative programs. THE RACE IS RAIN OR SHINE: RIGHT NOW IT, LOOKS LIKE MORE RAIN THAN SHINE! BUT, AS ALWAYS, WE WILL MAKE IT FUN. Feel free to access the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center prior to and following the race.
If you have the QR code from this email available on your phone or printed out as you pick up your packet, we will be able to look you up super-fast and get you ready to race.
Race Start Times: 5K start time: 8:30: 1 Mile start time: 9:30.
Click here for the 5K course map. Click here for the 1-mile course map. Due to runner safety protocols, the race route is closed to spectators. Only authorized race staff, PWC Police, GMU police, and traffic control employees are permitted on the race route.
Please arrive at the Freedom Center no later than 50 minutes prior to your race time. At 8:15, prior to the start of the 5K, University Blvd. will be closed along the race route. At that time, you can only access the Freedom Center via Wellington Road and then Freedom Center Blvd.
All 5K and 1-Mile runners will receive a custom race shirt, medal, custom bib, and a digital finisher’s certificate. There is no formal awards ceremony – just pick your award up inside the gym! The top 3 overall men and women receive Running Store gift cards as follows: $75, $50, and $25. The top 3 male and female 5K finishers in each of the following 5K age groups receive Running Store gift cards ($15/$10/$5): 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. There are no age group awards for the 1-mile.
The Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center has graciously opened its facility so participants and spectators can stay “warm” both pre and post-race. We will offer 1 water station at the 1.5-mile mark of the race. Small unopened water bottles will be available on a table for runners. In addition, small water bottles will be available at the end of the race. We will adhere to all Virginia Department of Health guidelines for running races and abide by RRCA’s best practices for conducting safe running events.
