Herndon Turkey Trot 5K

Event Overview

• Host: Herndon Parks and Recreation is hosting the annual Turkey Trot 5K.
• Date & Time: The race will begin at 4:00pm on November 21, 2026.
• Location: 814 Ferndale Ave, Herndon, VA.
• Registration: Packet pick-up runs from 5:00-7:00pm on November 20 and 1:30-3:30pm on race day.

Registration Fees

• Adults (21 & up): $45 for race day registration.
• Youth (20 & under): $30 for race day registration.
• Online Registration: Available until 12:00pm on November 20.
• Food Donation: A can of food is encouraged for both pre-registration and race day registration.

Shirts & Prizes

• T-Shirts: Long sleeve race T-shirts guaranteed for the first 450 pre-registered runners.
• Shirt Sizes: Guaranteed for those who sign up by October 28: must be picked up on race day.
• Prizes: Awards for 1st and 2nd place in various age groups.
• Top Prize: A turkey will be given to overall male and female winners.

Post-Race Benefits

• Beer Token: Registered runners 21+ will receive a token beer courtesy of Aslin Beer Company.
• Food Donation Recipient: All food donations will go to LINK.
• No Strollers: Strollers, bikes, and dogs are not permitted in the race.
• Time Limit: All runners must finish the 5K in 45 minutes.
