Purpose

• Cause: Support ending chronic homelessness in Washington, DC.
• Partnership: In partnership with Bishop’s Events.
• Awareness: Scheduled near Veterans Day and National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (November 15-21, 2026).
• Impact: Aligns closely with the heart of our work and the people we serve.

Honoring a Legacy

• Waldon Adams: Honoring the legacy of our late friend, former guest, and community leader.
• Running Enthusiast: Waldon completed over 80 races, including 15 marathons.
• Advocate: Passionate about helping others find safe and stable housing.
• Celebration: We will celebrate his life and impact, five years after his passing.

Community Connection

• Location: The race takes place in an area our Outreach Team serves.
• Engagement: A chance to connect with the community.
• Networking: Meet other passionate advocates.
• Action: Take action for housing justice.
