Event Overview
The 24th Potomac River Run Marathon &: Half will be held on Saturday, May 1st, 2027, at Fletcher's Cove, 4940 Canal Road, Washington DC, on C&:O Canal Towpath.

Packet Pickup
- Pre-race: On Friday, April 30th, 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM at PACERS RUNNING STORE.
- Location: 3100 Clarendon Blvd, Arlington, VA, across from Clarendon Metro.
- Race Day Pickup: Opens from 6:00 AM to 8:15 AM at Fletcher's Cove.
- Arrival Times: Marathoners from 6:00-7:15 AM: Half Marathoners from 7:00-8:15 AM.
Race Schedule
- Marathon Start Time: 7:30 AM
- Half Marathon Start Time: 8:30 AM
- Results Reporting: Results are reported to the Boston Athletic Association (BAA) before the end of May.
- Prizes: Monetary prizes for top 3 finishers and awards for age group winners.
Course Information
- Course Type: Flat, scenic, beautiful views of the Potomac River.
- Elevation: Highest point is 44m, lowest point is 12m above sea level.
- Surface: 99% crushed gravel: no hills, only two short pavement stretches.
- Finish Location: Start and finish at Fletcher's Cove.
Important Reminders
- Aid Stations: Close as the last runner approaches: last aid station closes at 1:30 PM.
- Water Supply: Slow runners encouraged to bring their own water bottles.
