Bayou Hills Run, City of Pensacola 5K / 10K Championships

Race Overview

The Bayou Hills Run is one of Pensacola’s oldest running events and is partnered with the City of Pensacola to make it the Official Pensacola 5K and 10K City of Pensacola Championships. Runners will have some serious bragging rights for winning the race and their age division. In addition to awards stating “Pensacola City Championships”, the overall male and female winners for both the 5k and 10K will be welcome and recognized at a city council meeting following the race.

Community Partnership

• Beneficiaries: We have partnered with the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation, along with Pensacola Sports, both will be beneficiaries of this great tradition and iconic Pensacola race.
• Mission: The Mission of the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation is to enhance education by investing in our students to ensure their success.
• Established: Founded in 1986, the foundation is recognized as the district-wide education foundation for public schools in Escambia County.
• Collaboration: The foundation works collaboratively with school leaders to determine how and where private-sector investment and volunteer involvement can have the greatest impact on student success.

Impact of Donations

• Grants: Donations can enhance Grants for Excellence for schools.
• Awards: Support is provided for Golden Apple Awards Banquet for Teachers of the Year.
• Ceremonies: Funding helps to facilitate Academic and MIRA Awards Ceremonies for outstanding students.
• Scholarships: Contributions support Take Stock in Children events and scholarships for deserving students.
