Join us in the Creative Capital for this historic marathon, half marathon and 5k. Providence Rhode Races winds through 4 of Rhode Island's famous communities, providing runners with a truly unique RI experience. Enjoy historic neighborhoods, treelined streets, sweeping coastal views, and working waterfronts.

🗓️Race Schedule

• Marathon Start: 7:30 a.m. Sunday, May 3, 2026
• Half Marathon Start: 8:00 a.m. from the same location
• 5k Start: 8:15 a.m. - all from the same cityside start
• Location: Bold Point Park, East Providence, RI

🏅Course Information

The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

☔Event Policy

• Rain or Shine: Providence Rhode Races will be happening regardless of weather.
• No Refunds: We cannot offer refunds for any reason due to planning logistics.
• Severe Weather: If conditions are unsafe, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.

🆔ID Requirements

There are no age restrictions but you must show your ID when picking up your bib.

🔄Transfer and Defer

Yes - you can transfer your bib, transfer your race entry to select other races in our portfolio within one year or defer your entry to next year's race. Transfer and deferral requests must be received before online registration closes, Wednesday before race day at 6p. Please visit this link for steps to complete this procedure.

📋Check Registration

Please visit RunSignup.com/profile to verify your race entry and make any changes - profile updates, upgrades/downgrades, transfers, deferrals, etc.

📦Packet Pick-Up

Times are located on our website at this link. Please note - race packets MUST be picked up in advance of race day unless you have reserved RACE DAY packet pick up during the registration process. You can have someone pick up your bib for you on Friday and Saturday. Please see our FAQs for instructions on this.

🏷️Race Day Bib Pick-Up

In order to encourage more people to pick up in advance of race day, we are charging a nominal fee for race day bib pick-up. This is to ensure we plan for the correct amount of participants planning on picking up on race morning, limit the number of people picking up on race morning to ensure we can get everyone checked in quickly, and to offset any costs associated with picking up early. We apologize for this inconvenience but our hope is to ensure a smooth race day for all of our participants with proper planning.

👥Team Discounts

YES! Individuals can refer 3 friends using their unique referral code and receive $15 back - or - for larger groups of 10 or more, each member of the group will receive $5 to $15 in refunds, depending on the size of the group! Sign up on the same team for the refund to be automatically applied when thresholds are reached.
