Race Overview

Join us in the Creative Capital for this historic marathon, half marathon and 5k. Providence Rhode Races winds through 4 of Rhode Island's famous communities, providing runners with a truly unique RI experience. Enjoy historic neighborhoods, treelined streets, sweeping coastal views, and working waterfronts.

Event Schedule

• Marathon Start Time: 7:30 a.m. Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Bold Point Park, East Providence, RI.
• Half Marathon Start Time: 8:00 a.m. from the same location.
• 5k Start Time: 8:15 a.m. - all from the same cityside start.
• Course Certification: The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

Important Notes

• Weather Policy: Providence Rhode Races will be happening rain or shine.
• No Refunds: Because of the logistics of planning for a race of this size, we cannot offer refunds for any reason.
• Cancellation Policy: In the event that weather is severe enough to create an unsafe environment for participants, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.

FAQs

• ID Requirements: There are no age restrictions but you must show your ID when picking up your bib.
• Transfer/Deferral: You can transfer your bib, transfer your race entry to select other races in our portfolio within one year or defer your entry to next year's race.
• Race Registration: Please visit RunSignup.com/profile to verify your race entry.
• Packet Pick Up: Times are located on our website. Race packets MUST be picked up in advance of race day.

Race Day Bib Pick-Up

In order to encourage more people to pick up in advance of race day, we are charging a nominal fee for race day bib pick-up. This is to ensure we plan for the correct amount of participants planning on picking up on race morning.

To add on Race Day bib pick up after you have registered:

• Sign In to RunSignUp
• Go to your Profile
• Click My Registered Races
• Click Manage next to the registration that you are editing
• Click Add-On menu item
• Edit the quantity of the Add-On that you would like
• Click Continue

Group Discounts

YES! Individuals can refer 3 friends using their unique referral code and receive $15 back - or - for larger groups of 10 or more, each member of the group will receive $5 to $15 in refunds, depending on the size of the group!
