The Mercer County Turkey Trot will take place on Thanksgiving rain or shine!

Event Details

• Date: 2026-11-26
• Location: Mercer County Park, West Windsor, NJ
• Race Types: 5K race and 1 mile fun run/walk
• Proceeds: Supports local food banks and pantries

Course Information

• Course Certification: The 5K course is certified by USA Track & Field (click here for a map of the race course).
• Course Type: The course is paved.
• Participants: Open to runners, families, and strollers. No dogs allowed.
• Staging: Serious, faster runners will be placed at the front, and participants will be staged by approximate run times.

Fun Run Details

• 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run: Follows a portion of the 5K course.
• Participants: Open to runners, families, and strollers. No dogs allowed.
• Timing: No chip worn, so no time is registered for the fun run/walk.
• Start Time: The fun run/walk will start at 8:45am.

Awards and Gifts

• Awards: Winners certificates for fastest overall male, female and non-binary runners as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners in each age group.
• T-shirts: Available for the first 1,000 registrants. Limited sizes available.
• Medals: Available for the first 750 finishers.

Packet Pick-Up

• Advance Pick-Up: Race bibs and t-shirts can be picked up on Sunday, November 22nd or Tuesday, November 24th at McCaffrey's in West Windsor.
• Time: Sunday from 9:30am-3pm and Tuesday from 4-6:30pm.
• Race Day: Packet Pick-up begins at 7 am in the pavilion at the West Picnic Area in Mercer County Park.
• Recommendation: Try to pick up your packet on November 22nd or 24th to minimize the crunch before the race.

Team Participation

• Form a Team: Grab your friends and form a team to help provide for those in need.
• Discount: Teams with over 10 members will get $3 off registration for each team member.

Support Local Food Pantries

• Organizers: This is the 14th annual event organized by a Race Committee of Mercer County residents.
• Net Proceeds: Donations from the event will go to local food pantries.
