Embrace the BHS Legacy and Join us for our 2nd Runnin' To The Rig 5k Run/Walk!

Date and Time

• Date: Saturday, February 21st
• Shot Gun Start: 8:30 am
• Check-in: 7:30 am
• Day of Race Registration: 7 am - 8 am at Check-In Desk

Race Details

• Start Locations: Runners on Morrow Field / Walkers on Griffith Field Stadium
• Embrace the Legacy Tour: Meets at the Water Tower near the concessions stand at Griffith Field.
• Cost: $40 per person
• Finisher Medals: Medals given to all finishers!

Course Information

We invite you to participate with us in this FUNdraising endeavor to build community and raise funds. Our 5k course is designed as a nostalgic run/walk throughout our historic campus ending near the famous football tunnel in Griffith Stadium. Our 2K walk will meander around campus and even through some of the buildings. The Walk will start after the Run.

T-shirts and Photos

• T-shirt Purchase: Race T-shirts can be purchased during registration for an extra fee if you pre-register by February 4th.
• Photo Opportunities: Plan to hang around after the race for pictures and selfies on historic Griffith Field.
• Gratitude: We are grateful for your support of Bakersfield High School.
• Slogan: Go Blue! Once a Driller, Always a Driller!

Bib & T-shirt Pickup

You can pick up your race packet and t-shirt at the stadium parking lot near Griffith Stadium.

• Friday, February 20: 3:30 pm - 6 pm
• Saturday, February 21: 7 am - 8 am
