Fog Run

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Probation Auxiliary County of Kern presents their 36th Annual 5K-10K Fog Run at Lake Ming in Bakersfield. This is a fun and family friendly 5K-10K race to support at-risk individuals in Kern County.

💖 Beneficiary Information

Proceeds will also benefit the Kern County Probation Department's Helping Hands program. Helping Hands is a nonprofit organization, and their goal is to guide at-risk youth towards success by removing barriers and equipping them with the basic needs.

• Goals: To guide at-risk youth towards success.
• Support: Scholarships, vocational training, mentoring, clothing, hygiene products, and other necessities.
• Impact: Increasing self-esteem, confidence, and drive to go to school.
• Community: Aiming to set up individuals for success and make our community a safer place.

🌄 Course Information

The race takes place on a beautiful scenic course overlooking beautiful mountains and lake views.

• Date & Time: Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 4:30PM – 6:30PM at Kern County Probation Department, 2005 Ridge Rd., Bakersfield, CA 93305
• Date & Time: Friday, January 9, 2026, from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at TBD
• Race Day: Check-in/Packet Pickup: January 10, 2026, 6:30am – 7:30am at Lake Ming
