Fog Run

Event Overview

• Organizer: The Probation Auxiliary County of Kern presents their 36th Annual 5K-10K Fog Run at Lake Ming in Bakersfield.
• Purpose: This is a fun and family friendly 5K-10K race to support at-risk individuals in Kern County.
• Beneficiary: Proceeds will also benefit the Kern County Probation Department's Helping Hands program.
• Goal: Helping Hands is a nonprofit organization, and their goal is to guide at-risk youth towards success by removing barriers and equipping them with the basic needs.

Community Impact

• Support Provided: Together the two organizations provide scholarships, vocational training, mentoring, clothing, hygiene products, and other necessities.
• Positive Outcomes: We believe our programs leave a lasting impact on youth by removing barriers and increasing self-esteem, confidence, and drive to go to school.
• Community Goals: It is our hope to set up individuals for success and make our community a safer place.
• Scenic Course: The race takes place on a beautiful scenic course overlooking beautiful mountains and lake views.

• Thursday, January 8, 2026: 4:30PM – 6:30PM at Kern County Probation Department, 2005 Ridge Rd., Bakersfield, CA 93305
• Friday, January 9, 2026: 4:00PM – 6:00PM at Orangetheory Fitness, 12838 Stockdale Hwy Suites 4A-1 & 4A-2, Bakersfield, CA 93314
• Race Day Check-in: January 10, 2026, 6:30AM – 7:30AM at Lake Ming.
• Additional Note: Event will occur rain or shine.
