This run benefits the Chicago Park School PTA, the Chicago Park 4-H Club, and the Peardale/Chicago Park Firefighter’s Association.

🗺️ Course Details

• Starting Point: Begins across the street from Chicago Park School.
• Route: Winds through beautiful back country roads and trails, along Rollins Lake shore, and parts of the Old Emigrant Trail, featuring dirt and paved terrain.
• Restrictions: No dogs are allowed on course.
• Registration Note: After Dec 19, registration does not include a race t-shirt.

🎉 Event Significance

The Resolve2Run 5K/10K/Walk is an annual fundraiser for the Chicago Park 4-H Club. Our club, the oldest continuously running 4-H Club in California, has been firmly planted in this community since 1929. We are committed to the youth of Nevada County, providing amazing opportunities for our 100+ members to learn and grow through our many projects, such as raising animals (beef, sheep, swine, goats, rabbits, and poultry), sewing, fine arts, crafts, aeronautics, website design and development, biking, survival skills, cooking, and much more.

💪 Community Impact

• Service Projects: We have an emphasis on serving our community through projects like our Annual Fire Safe Clean Up for the elderly.
• Partnerships: We partner with Chicago Park School PTA and Peardale-Chicago Park Volunteer Firefighters to provide this run.
• Resolutions: The event offers participants a chance to start the new year with healthy habits.
• Accessibility: We aim to have a run available at the time when people are making resolutions, giving them the chance to begin right away.

💵 Fundraising Objectives

Funds raised through this event enable us to keep the enrollment costs for our members reasonable, allowing more youth to participate. We also provide scholarships for graduating seniors who have excelled in leadership and service within our community. We participate in buying animals at the Nevada County Fair’s Youth Livestock Auction, supporting more youth in their projects, and we are buyers at the DC Delegates Cake Auction each year, enabling youth to spend a week in our nation’s capital learning about government and history.
