This run benefits the Chicago Park School PTA, the Chicago Park 4-H Club, and the Peardale/Chicago Park Firefighter’s Association.
🏞️ Course Details
- Starting Point: Begins across the street from Chicago Park School
- Scenic Route: Winds through beautiful back country roads and trails, along Rollins Lake shore
- Terrain: Parts of the Old Emigrant Trail, with dirt & paved terrain
- Dog Policy: No dogs are allowed on course
🎉 About the Event
The Resolve2Run 5K/10K/Walk is an annual fundraiser for the Chicago Park 4-H Club. Our club, the oldest continuously running 4-H Club in California, has been firmly planted in this community since 1929.
- Our Mission: Committed to the youth of Nevada County
- Member Activities: Opportunities include raising animals, sewing, fine arts, crafts, aeronautics, website design, biking, survival skills, and cooking
- Community Service: Annual Fire Safe Clean Up for the elderly who are unable to care for their property
- Healthy Resolutions: Start the new year with healthy habits with this race
💰 Fundraising Purpose
Funds raised through this event enable us to keep the enrollment costs for our members reasonable, enabling more youth to participate.
- Scholarships: Provided for graduating seniors who excel in leadership and service
- Support for Youth: Participation in the Nevada County Fair’s Youth Livestock Auction
- Government Education: Buying at the DC Delegates Cake Auction each year
- Community Gratitude: We appreciate all those in our community who have supported us
