Race Description
- Community Tradition: Join us in downtown Auburn for the annual Auburn Santa Run 5K, a premier community tradition celebrating fitness and the holiday season.
- Divisions: Participants are invited to select their division—Team Santa or Team Grinch—adding a spirited, friendly rivalry to the standard 5K course.
- Themed Attire: Runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to attend in themed athletic apparel.
- Virtual Participation Option: For participants unable to attend the in-person event, a virtual race option is available.
Virtual Participation Details
- Overview: Virtual participants complete their run independently at any location and pace. Because this division is non-competitive, no formal placements (first, second, or third) are awarded.
- Date & Submission Window: On December 19, 2026, registered virtual participants will receive an email and SMS containing instructions for submitting race completion data. The official completion and submission window runs from December 19, 2026, to December 25, 2026.
- Finisher Packet: Each registered participant will receive an official event T-shirt and finisher medal via mail.
- Completion Policy: To qualify for an official finisher medal, participants must complete the 5K distance—either running or walking—and submit their completion status through the designated results portal. Packets are dispatched upon receipt of verified submissions.
