Welcome to the MMTA Crush Run

Welcome to the City of Hurricane Crush Run to benefit the Meeks Mountain Trail Alliance. Join us on Saturday, February 7th, for the Crush Run Trail 10 miler, 5k run or hike, and Kids' Run. All proceeds go to support further development and maintenance of Meeks Mountain Trails Alliance.

Get Ready to Crush it and catch a glimpse of what the Hurricane Crush Run is all about!

Race Details

• Packet Pickup: Friday, February 6th, from 5:00-6:30 pm and Saturday morning from 8:00-10:00 am at Hurricane City Park's big red barn.
• Availability: Packets will also be available at the starting line after 10:00 on Saturday morning.
• Facilities: Bathrooms are available in the park, with portable restrooms at the Start/Finish line.
• Safety: There will be volunteers directing you to the start line across active train tracks.

Course Information

• Location: The run begins and ends at the Huntington Federal Shelter, a 15-minute walk from the parking lot.
• Terrain: Expect hand-built, single-track trails with rocks, roots, and rolling fun.
• Kids' Run: The approximate distance for the kids' run is 1 mile and follows pink flags.
• Time Limit: The 10 miler has a 3-hour time limit, closing the last aid station at 11:30.

Swag and Finish Line

• Runner Package: Every runner receives MMTA Crush Run swag, tote, and finisher award.
• Finish Line Fun: Enjoy a finish line bonfire, marshmallows, Orange and Grape Crush, and hot pizza.
• Aid Stations: The 10-miler will have access to aid stations three times: the 5k will have one.
• Refreshments: Water and sports drinks available on the course.

Awards

• Categories: Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female in the 10-miler and 5k.
• Teams: Awards for 1st place Crush Two-Person Teams in both races.
• Age Groups: Awards for age group finishers from 19 and under to 70 and over.
• Kids' Run: Unique finisher awards for the kids' run participants.

Registration

• Limit: Limited to 125 runners for the 10 miler and 5k.
• Pricing: Early bird pricing for the kids' run is $10, 5k is $30, and 10 miler is $45 until November 30th.
• Late Fees: Prices increase after December 1 and are final with no refunds.
• Discounts: Meeks Mountain Trail Sustainers receive a 10% discount on their race registration fee.

Run with Your Crush

Enter as a two-person team and compete for the lowest overall time for the 10-miler and 5k. Pricing will remain the same as listed above. Note that if you place first as a team, you will NOT win overall awards, but will be eligible for age group awards.

Safety and Rules

• EMT Support: Safety and EMT will be on call for emergency situations.
• Tread Carefully: Keep trails clean and be courteous to fellow trail users.
• No Headphones: Please refrain from using headphones during the race.
• Weather Preparedness: Expect winter conditions: no refunds or deferrals will be provided.
