🎉 Race Overview
HOWDY Friends! This year we've added something new and exciting! Ya'll can "Run fer the Kids" in a 5K, 10K, or the HALF MARATHON! This will be the second half marathon for the HBDRun and we are so excited! So, pick your distance and join us in beautiful downtown Pikeville at the Pikeville City Park, while you enjoy Kentucky's 2nd largest festival, Hillbilly Days.

🚶 Course Information
The first half of the half (the 10K portion) will all be on pavement/sidewalks and in the downtown area of Pikeville. Those who elect to do the half marathon will get to enjoy some "off-roading" and become a true "Hillbilly", because part of this route will take you through one of our beautiful trails. There will be challenging inclines, but there is no "hiking" type of terrain. The entire hill route is a wide path and is either paved, or gravel.
🏅 Participant Perks
- T-Shirt: Each participant will receive a t-shirt or tank top.
- Unique Medal: Participants will earn a UNIQUE medal, with this year's medal being the Hillbilly Dad.
- Family Series: This medal is the second in the Hillbilly Family medal series to celebrate the addition of the half marathon.
- Timing: The race will be timed, so hit the pavement at a nice and easy pace, or run yer hiney off!
👧 Kids Events
We will be offering the kids fun run (it's free) and the 2 mile walk for 2025.
