Welcome to the J.L. Long Middle School 28th Annual Long Run 5K!

📍 Location

The 28th Annual Long Run 5K starts and finishes at JL Long Middle School, 6116 Reiger Ave, Dallas, TX 75214

🎓 Purpose of the Event

The Long Run is a fundraiser supporting Dallas ISD’s JL Long Middle School. This year marks our 28th run!

The campus PTA organizes the annual event and proceeds are used to bridge critical funding gaps in the JL Long Middle School budget, including:

• Sensory Items: Games for the Special Education Department
• Peace Pantry: Funding needed to support food/clothing provided to needy students/families
• Equipment: For Zoo Crew and gaming equipment for Esports
• Staff Support: Funding for curriculum training and resources

📚 Additional Initiatives

Proceeds also support:

• Science Labs: Equipment and materials for educational activities
• Supplemental Materials: Books and educational resources
• Competitions: Entry fees and transportation for Long’s Math and Science Team, athletic, and music competitions
• Field Trips: Transportation for student trips to promote college-bound culture
