The 27th Annual Long Run 5K starts and finishes at JL Long Middle School, located at 6116 Reiger Ave, Dallas, TX 75214.
💖 Fundraising Purpose
The Long Run is a fundraiser supporting Dallas ISD’s JL Long Middle School. This year marks our 27th run! The campus PTA organizes the annual event and proceeds are used to bridge critical funding gaps in the JL Long Middle School budget, including:
- Sensory items: Games for the Special Education Department
- Peace Pantry: Funding needed to support food/clothing provided to needy students/families
- Equipment: For Zoo Crew and gaming equipment for Esports
- Staff Support: Funding for curriculum training
- Science Labs: Equipment and materials for the Athletics Department
- Supplemental Books: Educational materials for students
- Entry Fees: For Long’s Math and Science Team, athletic and music competitions
- Transportation: For student field trips to promote college-bound culture
Additinally, funds assist with student gardens, campus beautification, and 6th grade “Buc Camp” orientation.
