Event Overview

• Date: Saturday December 12th, 2026
• Location: 44 Fort Ashby Road, Fort Ashby, WV 26719
• Events: 5K Run, 2 Mile Walk, Kids Fun Mile
• Course: The course is located on Dan’s Run Road. It will begin and end by the Fort Ashby Primary School. Awards and registration will be held in the former Fort Ashby Primary School.

Parking Information

• Parking Locations: Available at the Fort Ashby Community Building and Trinity UM Church located on the road before the primary school.
• Important: Please do not park behind the former Primary School: this area is a private road.

Age Groups

• Categories: 10 and under: 11-13: 14-16: 17-19: 20-29: 30-39: 40-49: 50-59: 60 and over

Awards

• Overall Results: Overall male and female 5K: male and female masters
• Age Group Recognition: Top three finishers per age/gender group in 5K
• Kiddie Awards: Ribbons to all kids 10 and under and mile participants

Entry Fee

• Early Registration: $15.00 for 5K/2 Mile Walk: $12.00 for Kids Fun Mile if signed up by midnight November 20th
• Late Registration: $20.00 for 5K/2 Mile Walk: $15.00 for Kids Fun Mile if registered after midnight November 20th and on Race day

T-shirts

• Pre-registration: Race T-shirts for all entries pre-registered prior to November 20th.
• Availability: Remaining shirts will be given as supplies last.

Proceeds

• Fundraising: All proceeds go toward FHS Cross-Country Program

Schedule

• Registration: Race Day Registration opens at 7:45am-8:40am
• 5K/2 Mile Walk: Starts at 9:00am
• Kids Mile: Begins at conclusion of 5K race/2 Mile walk (about 10am)
• Awards Ceremony: Follows conclusion of Kids race (about 10:30am)

• Make-up Date: The make-up day is December 19th.
