Super Bowl 5k Race Description

Kick off your Super Bowl Sunday with a 5k run/walk thru beautiful Downtown Lansing in front of our State Capitol! Run a fast accurate race, stay healthy and fit and then go and enjoy your Super Bowl Party!

Location

• Start and Finish: The start and finish of the race is in front of the Michigan State Capitol Building.

Start Time

• Time: 10 AM

Packet Pick Up

• Date: Saturday February 7th from 12:30 to 4 PM
• Location: Central United Methodist Church, 215 N Capitol Ave, Lansing.
• Additional Info: You are able to pick up packets for family and friends on their behalf.
• Tip: It is a great idea to come to Downtown Lansing on Saturday and pick up your bib # and shirt to stay warm on Sunday morning.

Race Day Packet Pickup

• Time: 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM
• Location: Central United Methodist Church, 215 N Capitol Ave, Lansing.

Course

• Course Type: This is a 2 loop course.
• Starting Point: The start and finish is on Capitol Ave in front of the State Capitol.
• Distance: An accurate and fast 3.1 mile course on the streets of Downtown Lansing.
• Results: Your results will include your time for the first loop, allowing you to see your pacing.
• Course map and description.

Weather Conditions

• Snow Policy: If there is snow the morning of the race the course will be plowed and salted.

Parking

• Free Parking: Parking is free on all downtown streets on the weekends.
• Recommended Areas: Park along Michigan Ave and Washington St., or the side streets along Washington.
• Additional Lots: The two lots in front of Lugnut Baseball Stadium on Michigan Ave. and the lot at the Lansing Center on the corner of Michigan Ave. and Cedar St. are free on weekends.

Proceeds

• Support: Proceeds from the race go to support High School and Middle School Cross Country and Track programs, and Youth Running Clubs.
• Grant Program: Supports the Michigan Running Foundation grant program.
