🏃‍♂️Race Overview

Register today for the 2025 Run for the House! Ronald McDonald House Charities Mid-Michigan is pleased to welcome back our Champion Sponsor, MSU Federal Credit Union!

The 2025 Run for the House will start and finish at the MSU Federal Credit Union Headquarters in East Lansing. There is something for everyone at this community event, including a 5K run/walk, a 10K run, a 10K Ruck and a Kids One Mile Fun Run & Sprint. A virtual option is also offered.

🏅In-Person Race Details

• Event Start Time: 10:00 a.m. on April 13, 2025.
• 5K Course: Begins on MSUFCU's Headquarters, guided along West Road and paved paths.
• 10K Course: A double loop of the 5K course with additional volunteer-marked differences.
• Chip Timing: Both races will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.

👶Kids Fun Run

• Ages: Children 12 & under can enjoy both the Sprint and the mile-long Fun Run.
• Sprint Start: 9:15 a.m. followed immediately by the Fun Run.
• Registration: Allows participation in both races, with pacers to guide children.
• Participation: Suitable for all ages from the youngest to the oldest.

🎒Ruck for the House 10K

• Course: Follows the same course as the 10K, starting and ending at MSUFCU Headquarters.
• Weight Requirement: Participants must provide their own weight vests or backpacks.
• Course Limit: 2-hour course limit for participants.
• Chip Timing: The Ruck will also be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.

🖥️Virtual Race Option

• Date Range: Participate between April 11, 2025, and April 13, 2025.
• Anywhere: Run or walk at home, on a treadmill, or in a local park.
• Race Packet: Available for pickup in person. No virtual awards.
• Flexibility: Choose your own pace and location to complete the race.

🕘Event Schedule

5K and 10K (including the Ruck) begin at 10:00 a.m. You do not have to feel rushed to get to the starting line. Timing does not start until you cross the timing mats!

Kids Sprint begins at 9:15 a.m., and the 1 Mile Fun Run will follow immediately. Families are encouraged to visit the Lansing Area Littles Kids' Zone before and after the races.

Saturday, April 12: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Day of Race at the Registration table at MSUFCU Headquarters
Sunday, April 13: 9 – 10 a.m.

🏆Greater Lansing Area Race Series

Run for the House is proud to once again be part of the Greater Lansing Area Race Series (GLARS) this year! This race series showcases a variety of races across the Greater Lansing area, kicking off in March and wrapping up in late September. By participating in these races, you can earn points that bring you closer to achieving an overall series award. Click here for more information.

🐾Dog Policy

MSUFCU allows dogs on their campus as long as you abide by the City of East Lansing leashing ordinance and your dog can handle the social interaction of the event. If you are walking or running the 5K with your dog, we do ask that you start at the back of the starting group to avoid accidental tripping.

👕Shirt Opt-Out Option

At the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan, our purpose is keeping families close to the care their sick children need, and providing comfort, support, and resources for families just steps from the hospital. We can't wait to bring you the 2025 Run for the House while continuing our commitment to keep families safe while keeping them close. We will continue to follow local government health guidelines surrounding events.

💖Impact on Families

Help make a difference for families of seriously ill children. Your participation in the Run for the House 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run, 10K Ruck and Kids Run will help the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan provide a home-away-from-home for those families who have a child being hospitalized or receiving treatment at Lansing-area hospitals and clinics. The House offers a comfortable and private place for families to sleep, eat, and relax. Here families find a caring atmosphere where they can receive strength and encouragement from others who are also going through difficult times.
