Race Overview
- Participation: The Mighty Mile is exclusively for kids.
- Incentives: All runners will receive a T-shirt, Backpack, and a chipped timed accurate mile.
- Finisher Medal: Every runner will receive a Mighty Mile Finisher Medal upon crossing the finish line.
- Healthy Start: Encouraging children to run and stay active.
Registration Information
- Cost: FREE for ages 5 to 14 years old.
- Online Registration: Required prior to the race.
- Limit: Race is limited to the first 250 participants.
- No Race Day Registration: Participants must register online: no registration available at the event.
Race Schedule
- Race 1: 6:30 pm | 5 - 7 year olds
- Race 2: 6:50 pm | 8 – 9 year olds
- Race 3: 7:10 pm | 10 - 11 year olds
- Race 4: 7:25 pm | 12 - 14 year olds
Results and Awards
- Timing: Electronically timed using the disposable tag system.
- Results: Available immediately after the race on the race website.
- Awards: There are no awards: all runners receive a Finisher Medal.
- Encouragement: The focus is on self-challenge and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Course Information
- Track Start and Finish: Course starts and finishes on the DeWitt High School Track.
- Race Structure: First 1/4 mile on the track, then a loop on school grounds, finishing with a final 1/4 mile on the track.
- Support: Members of the DeWitt team will offer encouragement along the entire course.
- Accompaniment: Parents are welcome to run with their child.
Packet Pickup
- When: Race day from 5:15 pm to 7:15 pm
- Where: DeWitt High School Track
Additional Information
- Hydration: Bring water for your child: no water will be provided at the race.
