Race Overview
- Ages: The Mighty Mile is for kids only ages 5 to 14 years old.
- Inclusions: All runners will receive a T-shirt, Backpack, and a chipped timed accurate mile.
- Finisher Medal: Once the runner crosses the finish line, they will receive a Mighty Mile Finisher Medal.
- Purpose: This race is part of the Michigan Running Foundation Mighty Mile series.
Event Details
- Registration: There is no entry fee to run the Mighty Mile.
- Online Only: You must register your child online prior to the race.
- Limit: The race is limited to the first 250 participants.
- Schedule: Races are scheduled at various times for different age groups.
Race Schedule
- Race 1: 6:30pm | 5 - 7 year olds
- Race 2: 6:50pm | 8 – 9 year olds
- Race 3: 7:10pm | 10 - 11 year olds
- Race 4: 7:25pm | 12 - 14 year olds
Results and Awards
- Timing: The race will be electronically timed with results posted immediately after.
- Awards: There are no awards: all runners will receive a Mighty Mile medal.
- Challenge: The event encourages participants to challenge themselves.
- Finish Line: All participants will be celebrated as they cross the finish line.
Course Information
- Location: The start and finish are on the DeWitt High School Track.
- Route: The course includes a combination of track and school grounds.
- Support: DeWitt team members will support runners along the course.
- Family: Parents are welcome to run with their child!
Entry Fee and Packet Pickup
- Fee: The race is free, but online registration is mandatory.
- Pickup: Packet pickup is on race day at the DeWitt High School Track from 5:15 pm to 7:15 PM.
- Hydration: Bring water for your child: none will be provided at the race.
