Spring Fling 5k Overview

The Spring Fling has been run in Cabot since 1996. From 1998 to 2001, the race was part of the Arkansas Grand Prix Series. After a five year absence the Cabot Country Cruisers brought the race back into the Series starting in 2007.

Directions to the Starting Line

From US-67/167: Take Exit 19 and drive east on Highway 89/Main Street which will turn in to E. Pine Street. Turn left on N. Lincoln St/Highway 38 at Cabot High School and the Panther Stadium parking lot will be on your right about a 1/4 mile. You can also park in the High School lot just west of the Field House off of E. Pine St. Please DO NOT PARK in the Field House Parking lot on Bellamy Street as this is part of the course. The race starts on Bellamy St just outside the Field House.

Packet Pickup and Ceremony: Packet pickup, pre-race waiting, and awards ceremony will all take place in the fine arts auditorium this year. Nothing will take place inside of the fieldhouse. This is the same as it was in 2025 and 2026. Start, finish, and food remain in the same locations.

Course Description

The Spring Fling course starts on Bellamy Street, just outside of the Cabot High School Field House. The route heads south for 1/4 mile before turning left onto Main St. The race moves into a tree-lined residential area, and turns south onto Honeysuckle Ln. The runners will curve along this road, merging onto Linda Lane and continuing south to reach the 1st mile marker. Just after beginning the 2nd mile, the course turns runners south onto G street for a small loop before returning to Linda Lane to head back to the north. Once the runners have returned to Linda Lane they will pass the 2nd mile marker. The third mile returns the runners to Honeysuckle, Main St and then north on Bellamy to pass the starting line. The route then turns into the Field House Parking Lot and turning down the ramp to enter the Stadium. The course turns left on the track where runners will hit the 3 mile marker just before the back turn leaving runners just the turn and a short straightaway until the finish line.

Restroom Notice: PLEASE NOTE: Use restrooms inside the stadium before walking up Bellamy to the starting line, OR inside the lobby of the auditorium. There are NO bathrooms at the top of the hill/starting line.

Packet Pickup Timing: VERY IMPORTANT: We will have pre-race packet pickup from 5-7 PM on Friday, March 19th, 2027 at the Cabot High School Fine Arts Auditorium. We highly encourage you to pickup your packet early. You may pick up for others with a copy or picture of their photo ID. All other packets will be picked up by participants on RACE MORNING between 6:30-7:45 AM at the Cabot High School Fine Arts Auditorium. If you arrive after 7:45 AM to get your packet, you will not be permitted to race. Please arrive in plenty of time to come pick up your packet, get your bib on, and take your shirt back to your car!

Registration Information: Registration closes on RunSignUp on 3/17/2026, Wednesday at 12 pm. THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION AT PACKET PICKUP ON RACE MORNING! No shirts will be guaranteed after the shirt deadline which is February 19th. Please register early! In 2026, we sold out TWO WEEKS early!

Course Restrictions: No strollers, dogs, or wheels of any kind are allowed on this course for safety reason. No exceptions.

Participant Waves: 2027 will have 3 waves, and a max of 600 participants. This is to help with congestion at the start. Waves will be determined by estimated finish times entered by each participant in Runsignup when registering. Waves will start a few minutes apart.

No Refund Policy: There are NO REFUNDS for our race for any reason. We do allow transfers to other participants until Tuesday March, 16th at 11:59 PM. To transfer, please email the first/last name, DOB, email address, gender, and age of the participant you want to initiate a transfer to & the current participant to [email protected]. We cannot initiate a transfer without all of that information from both parties. No transfers will be allowed after Tuesday, March 16th.
