🏅 The Memorial 5K Event

Join the Memorial 5K Foundation to honor our nation and remember the service and sacrifice of those who have died in the line of duty. Participate in the 5th Annual Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

🕊️ Ceremony of Remembrance

Our area veterans and active-duty service members will conduct a brief ceremony of remembrance followed by the running of our unique 5K race.

🏃 Race Details

• Course Certification: The racecourse, through the Lake Barrington Shores community, has been certified by U.S. Track and Field.
• Timing: The race will be professionally chip timed.
• Participants' Gifts: Participants will receive a race tech shirt and beautiful finishers medal as part of their registration.
• Proceeds: Proceeds from your race registration will benefit the Memorial 5K Foundation, which supports the work of the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores and the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation.

🕗 Start Time

Start Time: 8:00 AM. A Ceremony of Remembrance will proceed the Memorial 5K Race Start.

• Starting Line: Market Place Shopping Center, Corner of Kelsey Road and Route 59 in Lake Barrington, 60010.
• Parking: Available at ReMax Properties Northwest, 5041 Shoreline Road, Lake Barrington, IL 60010.
