Race Overview

Join the Memorial 5K Foundation to honor our nation and remember the service and sacrifice of those who have died in the line of duty. Participate in the 5th Annual Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Ceremony and Race Details

• Ceremony: Our area veterans and active-duty service members will conduct a brief ceremony of remembrance.
• Race Type: Unique 5K race through the Lake Barrington Shores community.
• Certification: The racecourse has been certified by U.S. Track and Field.
• Timing: The race will be professionally chip timed.

Participant Benefits

• Race Shirt: Participants will receive a race tech shirt.
• Finishers Medal: A beautiful finishers medal is included with registration.

Charity Information

The Memorial 5K is a 100% Charity 5K Race. The proceeds from your race registration will benefit the Memorial 5K Foundation, which supports the work of the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

• Start Time: 8:00 AM. A Ceremony of Remembrance will precede the Memorial 5K Race Start.
• Location: Starting Line at Market Place Shopping Center, Corner of Kelsey Road and Route 59 in Lake Barrington, 60010.
• Parking: Available at ReMax Properties Northwest, 5041 Shoreline Road, Lake Barrington, IL 60010.
