San Jacinto Texas Independence Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The 14th Annual San Jacinto Texas Independence Fun Run will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, beginning at 7:00 AM. Join us to "Run the Battlefield!" and experience the historic grounds where Texas won its independence.

📋 Race Options

• Choices: Participants can choose from a 10K run, 5K run, 5K walk, or a 1K Kids Run.
• Timing: The certified course will be chip-timed for the 10K and 5K events.
• Awards: The top three male and female finishers in each running category will be recognized after the race.

⏰ Race Start Times

• 10K: 7:30 a.m.
• 5K Run: 7:40 a.m.
• 5K Walk: 7:45 a.m.
• 1K Kids Run: 8:15 a.m.

💲 Registration Details

• Advance Registration Fees: Before January 31, 2025: $30 - 10K, $25 - 5K Walk/Run, $20 - 1K Kids.
• Registration Fees: From Feb. 1 to Race Day: $35 - 10K, $30 - 5K Walk/Run, $25 - 1K Kids.
• Virtual Options: 10K $40 / 5K $35 / 1K Kids $30 (before January 31, 2025).
• Later Virtual Fees: 10K $45 / 5K $40 / 1K Kids $35 (after February 1, 2025).

📦 Packet Pick-Up Information

Packet pickup dates/times are listed below.

• Location: San Jacinto Museum and Battlefield, 1 Monument Circle, La Porte, TX 77571 (Packet pick-up located inside the Monument. Use the entrance facing the reflection pool).
• Dates: Thursday, Feb. 27 – 12 p.m.-5:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 28 – 12 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
• Event Day: While there will be event day packet pickup, we strongly encourage participants to plan an early arrival. Packet Pick-Up on event day will conclude promptly at event start (7:30 a.m.).

👨‍👩‍👧 Participation Guidelines

5K/10K Participation

• Eligibility: All ages can participate, with ages 2 and under free to accompany a family member.
• Strollers & Walkers: Strollers and walkers are welcome but start in the back of the corral at event start to allow runners ahead.

1K Kids Fun Run Participation

• Age Limit: Limited to children 12 and under.
• Escort: One parent or guardian may escort the child, but it is not required.
• Strollers: Allowed, with older children in the front and strollers in the back.
• Safety: Be cautious of other children while passing with a stroller.
