We Invite you to join us for the 2nd Annual "The Big Gay 5K & 1Mi. Pride Stride!" The 5K race will be held Saturday morning, March 21st, 2026 at 9:00 AM. The 1 Mile Pride Stride will begin at 9:45 AM.

Purpose of the Event

Fundraiser for: Rome GA Pride.
Community Support: Funds help the local LGBTQIA+ community.
Pride Celebration: Encourage participants to show their Pride at the race.
Inclusivity: All are welcome to participate and have fun!

Thanks to Sunshine Bakery for providing muffins to participants after the race!

Race Registration Fees

5K: $30 -- Pre-Registration Entry Fee / $40 Day of Race
1 Mile: $25 -- Pre-Registration Entry Fee / $35 Day of Race
T-Shirt Guarantee: Register by Wed., March 11th for guaranteed size.

Registration Deadline: Will remain open until Sun., March 15th.

Race Route, Start-Finish & Parking

5K Course: This USATF-Certified 5K Course is scenic and very fast.

Location: Meanders through the beautiful Oostanaula River Trails of Rome.

Parking: Plenty of parking near the race's start/finish at Ridge Ferry Park.

Access: Dog Park side, north of RR tracks.

Race Day Schedule of Events

7:30 AM: Race Day Registration Opens

8:45 AM: Race Day Registration Closes

9:00 AM: 5K Start Time

9:45 AM: 1Mi. "Pride Stride" (Fun Run/Walk)

Awards Presentation

10:15 AM: Awards Presentation for 5K

Pre-Registration Packet Pick Up

Avoid the crowds and pickup your packet & t-shirt at GoGo Running on Friday, March 20th from 10:00 AM--6:00 PM.

Awards will be given to the following:

Top 3 Overall: Male and Female Winners

Master Awards: Top Male Master and Top Female Master

Grandmaster Awards: Top Male Grandmaster and Top Female Grandmaster

Age Categories: Top 3 Male & Female in various age categories.

Nonbinary Awards: Top Overall, Masters and Grandmaster Nonbinary Winners.

Nonbinary Age Categories: Awards for various age groups.

NOTE: There are no awards for the 1 Mile Pride Stride....this Fun Run/Walk is just for smiles.
