30th Annual Tom King Classic Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk

🥳 Event Overview

Celebrating our 30th anniversary, please join us for the 2025 Tom King Classic! Event features a Half Marathon Run and 5K Run/Walk, start and finish at Cornelia Fort Airpark. Each race is out and back over certified, fast, and flat courses with the Half Marathon route taking runners thru Shelby Park to downtown Cumberland River east bank and back via Davidson Street and the paved Shelby Bottoms Greenways. • 5K Course: Tom King Classic 5K
• Half Marathon Course: Tom King Classic Half Marathon

🎉 Post-Race Celebration

• Food & Awards: Celebrate your accomplishment with post race food and awards!
• Participant Limit: Due to parking limitations, the Half Marathon and 5K field combined is limited to 600 participants.
• Shirts: Guaranteed shirts for registrations by 2-16-25. Long sleeve tech shirts for half, long sleeve cotton blend for 5K.
• Finisher Medals: Finisher medals for Half Marathon participants. No pets allowed due to liability.

🦠 Health & Safety

We will follow Metropolitan Nashville/Davidson County CoVid policies. This may warrant staggered starts and smaller groups. CoVid guidelines may force further limiting the field. Social distancing in the start/finish area should be maintained. Hydration will be available in the start/finish area and on the half marathon course. Course hydration subject to change per Metro Health guidelines.

📅 Packet Pickup

• Date & Time: Early packet pickup will be Friday afternoon 2/28 from 3 pm - 6 pm at Shelby Park Community Center, 401 South 20th Street Nashville, TN 37206. Community Center Location
• Race Morning: Race morning packet pickup beginning at 6:00 AM at Cornelia Fort. Please bring photo ID when picking up your race packet.
• Registration: Same day race registration will be available until 7:45 AM.

⏰ Race Day Schedule

• 8:00 AM: Start Half Marathon /
• 8:15 AM: Start 5K Run / Walk
• 5K Course Closure: 5K course closes at 9:15 AM
• Half Marathon Course Closure: Half Marathon course closes at 11:30 AM

🚗 Parking Information

Parking is free both Friday afternoon at the community center and race morning in Cornelia Fort Airpark grass lots and adjacent streets. Due to limited parking, we STRONGLY encourage carpooling or ride shares.

🏆 Race Series

Half Marathon and 5K distances are part of the Nashville Striders 2025 Grand Prix Race Series.
