MedZou Ophthalmology Annual 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event: The Annual Mizzou Ophthalmology 5K Run/Walk
• Organizer: Hosted by the University of Missouri’s Ophthalmology Department
• Purpose: To support MedZou’s free clinic for underserved patients in Columbia, Missouri
• Date & Time: April 18th, at 10:00 am (check-in begins at 9:30 am)

🎉 Event Details

• Location: Twin Lakes Recreation Area at the Twin Lakes Shelter
• Refreshments: Participants are invited to stay for refreshments after the race
• Family-Friendly: Kids, pets, and families are encouraged to attend
• Activities: There will be games, food trucks, and more!

📝 Registration Information

• Deadline: Please register online by March 13th to reserve an official race t-shirt
• Post-Deadline: Registration will still be available after this date but will not guarantee a t-shirt
• Online Registration: Register here

👕 T-Shirt Pickup

• First Pickup: Friday, April 10th, from 2:00-5:00 pm at the PCCLC Health Science Library
• Race Day Pickup: April 18th, from 9:30-9:45 am

💖 Donations

• Participation: If you are unable to participate in the Run/Walk
• Contribution: Please click the "Donate" tab at the top of the website to make your contribution
• Support: Your donations help Mizzou Ophthalmology’s MedZou fundraiser

🏞️ Course Information

• Route: The course will follow the scenic MKT Trail
• Turnaround Point: At the 1.55-mile mark, participants will return along the same path to the finish line
• Hydration: A hydration station will be available at the turnaround point
