Race Name Origin

Why is it called Honest Abe? It is because Abraham Lincoln's birthday is February 12th and the race is held on... oh my, this wasn't planned well. It's an honest mistake, good thing we're a running club and not a history club.

Winter Series Information

This is for a single race sign up. To sign up for the series, please go to the Winter Series Sign Up page.

• Event History: An event which began back in 1978, the BCRR Winter Series includes 11 weekly races from December through February (weather permitting).
• Membership Requirement: You must register for an annual BCRR membership prior to registering for the entire series. Registration begins in the fall of each year.
• Single Race Participation: You do not need to be a member to participate in single races during the series. Registration for non-members is available onsite on race day only.
• Award Eligibility: For those who wish to compete for awards: You must also fulfill the series requirement of at least one race and one volunteer assignment.
