NACC's RACE AROUND RED TOP

Race Overview

North American Canicross presents RACE AROUND RED TOP! Come join us March 8th for our forth in-person canicross 5k race! New to canicross or have a pup in training? There will also be a 5k Dog Friendly Trail race following the competitive canicross run.

Participation Details

• T-Shirt & Medal: Each runner will receive a logo race T-shirt and finisher challenge coin! Note: T-Shirt/Size is not guaranteed if you register after February 20th.
• Gear Requirements: All dogs running in canicross are required to wear designated canicross gear including harnesses with “Y” chest bands.
• Children's Policy: Registered children under 15 will need to run with a registered adult.
• No Refund Policy: No transfers, refunds or deferments allowed.

Event Policies

• No Greet Policy: Dogs must be kept on a leash and must not interact with other dogs or humans.
• Reactive Dogs: Please email support@nacanicross.com if you have a reactive dog and are planning to attend.
• Camping: CAMPING is available at RED TOP MOUNTAIN STATE PARK. Reservations can be made here.
• Parking Fees: There is a $10.00 parking fee per vehicle in Georgia State Parks, which is not included in the registration fee.

Race Day Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Begins on-site at 7:30 AM along with race day registration.
• Start Times: Canicross 2-Dog 5k starts at 8:30 AM, Canicross 5k at 9:00 AM, and Dog Friendly 5k at 9:30 AM.
• Water Station: There will be one water/aid station at mile 1.5 (halfway point on the course).
• Photos: Photos will be available and taken by Unbridled Imagery.

Volunteer & Participation Opportunities

• Volunteers Needed: Help is appreciated during race day for setup, breakdown, and operations.
• Vendor Opportunities: Interested in vending or sponsoring? Submit your form by February 15th.

Contingency & Safety Plans

• Weather Plan: If extreme weather occurs, the start may be delayed, or the race may convert to a virtual option.
• Medical Response: Race Directors have a medical response plan for both humans and canines.
• Safety Briefings: Competitors and volunteers will be briefed on race rules and emergency procedures prior to starting.
