5K VFW 6527 RUN/WALK FOR WARRIORS

🏃‍♂️ 5K Run/Walk for Warriors

The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Harris-Hannah Post 6527 in Greenwood, Arkansas, will be hosting a chipped-timed 5K Run/Walk for Warriors on October 25, 2025. All monies raised will be used to help local veterans in-need.

📍 Event Details

• Check-in: The 5K check-in between 8-8:45am at our VFW POST on the Square in Greenwood, AR, at 305 E Center St.
• Starting Point: Our starting point is at the Coal Miner's Memorial, next to First National Bank.
• Route: The route will take you straight across Bell Road, pass behind the high school and back down Main Street, with a finish at Town Square. We will have clear markers on the road and a new map posted beforehand for you.
• Timing: The race will be officially chipped and timed with Jaymax Race Timing Services, and volunteers will man various locations along the route.

🏅 Awards and Recognition

• Medals: Medals for all participants.
• Top Place Medals: Top place medals in different age categories and t-shirts for the first 250 to register.
• Special Awards: This year, placement medals for fastest and cutest (dog) costume (1st, 2nd, 3rd place each category).
