Event Overview

Get ready for a morning of trail running, community, and one of the most unique outdoor spaces in our region.

Historical Significance: Good Earth State Park at Blood Run is more than a beautiful place to run. The area is one of the oldest sites of long-term human habitation in the United States and holds significant cultural and historical importance.

• Location: Its location along the river made it an important gathering and trading place for tribal peoples for centuries.
• Wildlife: The area boasts abundant wildlife.
• Resources: Fertile flood plains and pipestone availability contribute to its historical importance.
• Community: We’re excited to share this incredible park with you and can’t wait for race morning!

Race Schedule

8-Mile Race

Start Time: 8:00 AM

Take on a scenic and challenging course through Good Earth State Park. Expect a true trail experience and a great opportunity to explore this incredible landscape.

4.5-Mile Race

Start Time: 8:00 AM

A shorter option with plenty of trail adventure. Whether you're newer to trail running or simply looking for a fun morning on the trails, this race is for you.

Kids Trail Race

Start Time: 10:00 AM

Kids ages 2–10 are invited to take on our 1-mile trail race!

• Timing: The Kids Trail Race is timed just like our adult events.
• Materials: Every registered participant will receive a race bib and race materials.
• Packet Pickup: Kids should attend packet pickup just like participants in the 4.5- and 8-mile races.
• Encouragement: We encourage family support during this exciting event!

Packet Pickup

Location: 605 Running Company – Downtown

Date: Friday, August 14
Time: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Everyone should plan to attend packet pickup on Friday.

• Friend Pickup: You may have a friend or family member pick up your packet and race materials for you.
• Responsibility: Once a packet has been claimed, the participant is responsible for those materials.
• Trust: If you’re sending someone else to pick up your things, send someone you trust!
• Morning Pickup: Limited race-morning pickup will be available primarily for participants traveling from out of town or dealing with special circumstances.

Race-Morning Packet Pickup

Location: Visitor Center Classroom – Good Earth State Park
Date: Saturday, August 15
Time: Beginning at 7:15 AM

An attendant will remain in the classroom throughout the morning to assist with packet pickup, including families participating in the 10:00 AM Kids Trail Race.

Whenever possible, please pick up your materials Friday so race morning can stay focused on getting to the start line and enjoying Trail Fest.
