Race History

• Inception: The Westfield Half started in 1994 as a fundraiser by the Empire One Running Club.
• Growth: The race grew from 142 runners to well over 600 participants over the years.
• Milestone: Nearly 1,000 participants joined in 2011.
• Funds Raised: The event has raised approximately $300,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield since its inception.
